The Body Inspection (Service) is for your 3 year corrosion warranty. You are recommended to get this done at the 1st and 3 year, then every year after that if you wish. Is it worth it? Well I would say yes if you plan to keep the car for a good length of time, if not you are paying the privilege for the next owner. Of course stone chips etc are 'self inflicted' so would go against a warranty claim. As well as checking all panels, underseal etc., they spray (waxoyl???) inside all the panels which smells for a week or two.

You will no doubt get a letter from Subaru offering you the extended warranties very soon mate. If I remember correctly they offer 1 or 2 years and you must keep up the service records and keep your mileage under an agreed amount. Now for the price, depending on model there are roughly £1k -£2k depending on how long you take it out for. I believe the extended warranty just carries on from the manufacturers one so all the same parts are covered and your Subaru Assistance will also be extended. I'm in the same boat, my plan at the moment is to keep my car for another 2 years (3 years old in September) and unsure if to take the warranty out or not. If you have owned your car from day one then you will know how well you have looked after the engine, gearbox etc, so you could think to yourself is the extra warranty worth it? But like everything in life you just don't know whats round the corner. My advice is if you don't extend the warranty then keep aside the money you would have spent just in case something does break.

I find the whole wave 'thing' is dying out now. Years ago you got loads of waves when Scoobs were a rare sight, now every man and their dog's got one. I now wait for a wave to save the embarrassment of a rubber ear!

Very nice indeed. I really like the S3. Been looking at them for a while now. Did you add any extras on? I quite fancy the bucket seats, flat bottom steering wheel and 18s, although it adds a fair bit on to the price! I believe there is a face-lift coming in the summer and it will have the LED front lights.
