  1. Good day for me as well and big thanks to auto ecosse for making it possible for my first scooby outing at KH :-) I think a lot of people also enjoyed the hot passenger laps in the new scoobys so hope that raised a lot of money for the charities. Whens the next one? :-)
  2. Had a good day today. Was my first outing on track in the scooby. Nice to push the car and get to play with the diff controller in relative safety. Also surprised how quickly the brembos were fading on track Naff video of me playing with DCCD but shows the difference putting it fully in manual can do . slidey out lots http://www.facebook.com/v/114449841710 Think I only chatted to one guy off here who told me all about my JDM
  3. I will be up in the afternoon for my first outing in the scoob
  4. Sounds cool, I think I will pop along in the afternoon and go on track and get a wee run in a new scoob
  5. I never got a reply either and was asking questions about what I needed for my remap. Might not be taking my slot in early august now
  6. probably about an 2003 model with decent milage and a few mods for that price. I picked mine up last month and its wicked
  7. I did email him as I was booked in for a session with him but he never replied to my email ( I do hear he is very busy) NPS? AVCS? Are they easily fixed? Its an import if that makes any difference.
  8. Yeah the moving pics are great Was that on a rig on another car?
  9. It has an ecutek remap but I think because Andy didnt do the original remap its not quite as cheap as just a remap. I think its double the price. Im not sure there is an issue with holding boost, its maybe just mapped that way as you dont always need high boost at the top end to make the power, so was curious what other owners were using boost wise at peak revs. I will dig out my rolling road map with boost curves and see what you guys think. 350bhp with 380lb/ft would be awesome! Thats like an extra 60lb/ft I thought powerstation were THE place to have cars mapped down south?
  10. I did hope that the car would make more as it doesnt seem to be making much more than a remapped UK car, but looking at Andys site, with the mods I have he estimates it should be 340-350bhp but I dont think it mentions torque What boost are people running with 350bhp ? mine peaks at 1.5 but drops to about 1.0 by 6k revs
  11. I already have a powerstation remap on my Import STI and I was wondering if anyone had a remap from somewhere down south like powerstation , didnt do any mods then let Andy remap it if it is likely to be a waste of my money other than the possible small tweaks but unlikely to get any more noticable power out of it? Ive got 345bhp but only 320lb/ft just now but not sure if that is the car or the remap Would you do it if it was your money?
  12. I am in a similar boat with 350bhp and thinking about a map tweak and taking off the induction kit to put on the standard one (anyone got one?) did Andy say you could get more bhp with the standard kit? Are you happy with the results? I have 345bhp but the torque is only 320lb/ft so was hoping a remap might bring the torque up
  13. what kinda food you looking for? Cant think of a place that does decent food , drinks and pool. There is a place that comes close (if you count bar burgers etc as decent food) and its up sauchihall st roughly accross from the garage
  14. Could you send instructions and pics to me please as im also looking to do this ross_mitch@hotmail.com
  15. You learn something new everyday, it is a VF37 I have It managed to get me a 12.9 at crail Would putting on a standard air box and panel filter get faster times? Anyone got a standard air box and filter they dont want so I can try.

  17. Why do the induction kits seem to loose so much torque on the scoobys over panel filters?
  18. I think mine might be a VF35? Its a 2003 JDM STI. I would like to be 30lb/ft up on that reading definitely! I was surprised to see the octane booster brought the boost in a bit earlier or made the power a bit earlier. It was rolling roaded in 3rd gear if that makes any difference to readings, and the temperature was meant to be automatically adjusted by the rollers to ensure consistant results. (seemed quite a cool setup as I always thought higher temps meant lower power)
  19. Its hitting 1.6 bar of boost by 3,500rpm. I thought that was quite good. Do some of the JDMs come in sooner? Yeah powerstation mapped it. Runs lean? You mean my fuel economy should be worse? noooooo lol Is it worthwhile trying to hold more boost up the top end as I see it drops down to 1.2 @6000 then 1bar @ 7000 Not many people seem to talk about mapping or making the JDMs much faster than the UK models. I thought because they had the stronger engine they would be a lot faster easier to mod. Whats CAI? The induction kit?
  20. Depends size of dents, and where they are located on the door as some are harder to get out than others. He does free valuations. Mine was about £65 I think for 3 quite big car park dink scuffs, but I got a bit of a deal as I got two cars done as I was so impressed at the work on the astra. Really wished I had done it ages ago as its a new door. Dinks annoyed me every week when I washed the car
  21. Andy @ Dent Wizard - 07977 749 576 Andy popped up last week and worked some absolute magic! I tried callinh a couple of other places and they were either too busy to bother calling back or came out and said they couldnt fix the dents. I had a few car park dents / scuffs that I thought the dent might come out but the scuff was too bad as it was lots of little scratches but Andy managed to fix it so it looked like a new door! Totally amazed and if anyone is looking for Paintless Dent Removal I would recommend Andy for his work and his price
  22. Yeah its running typhoon induction kit with enclosure RR readout and AFR and boost figures here http://picasaweb.google.com/evilscooby78/S...CNO1g6a4mIz-Iw# RR graph
  23. There was no mention of that. I did think the torque might have been higher as I thought I had read what you were saying that usually the bhp is similar to torque. Any thoughts why it would be lower?
  24. Had the scooby on the rolling road today. Went to extreme motorsport and its the best rolling road I have been to out of all the scottish ones. They give you two runs on the rollers and and lots of advice on your car. You also get to see the boost you are running and AFR. Mines peaks about 1.5 bar and drops down later up the range Got a decent enough 347bhp and 325 lb/ft and plenty of flames.
