When we bought our scooby, we got the RAC to do the inspection on it. Altho they couldnt say about the mods, they are able to tell you if there are any faults or problems with any part of the car. I was really impressed with the RAC check, they picked up on a few very very minor things that didnt bother me, and I would never have noticed. It was expensive to get it done, but it was piece of mind knowing everything was ok and in good condition.

Sorry to hijack this thread a bit, noticed Cal had mentioned the steering pump playing up. Are there any easy ways of telling if a pump is playing up? Is it a common fault, and is it easy enough to change if required? cheers guys.

Sorry to hear about this James, at least your okay and the car doesnt look too bad. You will be the 2nd Inverclyde Council Scooby owner to crash recently! [] As someone has said above looks like it will be a bumper repair and possibly a new bonnet. If your claiming your insurance then get a quote from Glasgow Audi repair centre in Hillington... they will do a flawless job (too expensive if your paying for it yourself tho)! Think they are working on another bugeye scooby later this week or the start of next week.

Newage STI has never been available in red? I would be very suspicious of that![:^)] It is a wrx not an STI. False advertising from Sunnyhill[:|] Was gona say it couldnt have been a STI, they dont make them in red.

That does make a change for AC, I had a lot of trouble with a car I bought brand new from a AC Elderslie, gave up eventually, sold the car and vowed never to buy another car from any AC branch ever again!

I've got one of the Snap Off kits fitted to my polo, matched up to a 280mm momo wheel... looks the business and as you say, nobody will steal your car if its not got a steering wheel fitted!

I always bought cheap sunglasses and they only ever lasted a couple of months. Then I got a pair of Ray-Ban's at a discounted price a few years ago and they've been great! Even had them on today, was mighty sunny coming back from Oban at lunchtime!

A reckon the family membership is a good idea and I would be interested also. My missus is a fully paid up member, but I didnt bother as we share the same car, attend the meets together, and dont need 2 copies of True Grip. My m8's dad has been thinking about getting one. S&S are getting 3 delivered in March, 1 is gona be put on as a demonstrator for a month apparently. From the list he showed me a few weeks ago where you can pick what number you get, there were only about 70 sold in the whole of the UK so far, might be a bit more now tho.

Does anyone know the correct part number for the HKS SSQV that is for a bugeye sti 7? Been looking at them on US ebay and the part number quoted is 71001-AF008, but when I check the HKS Europe website they quote part number 1421-SF006. Just want to make sure I order the right thing! Will all the newage Sti's use the same one, or are they different depending on the rev, ie 7, 8 9 etc? Cheers
