It's a road car its got MOT and Tax thought i would put the roll cage in for the extra protection ... it will be used as my track slag untill toy comes which is coming soon i hope ..with alot less weight Cheers for the advise lads will look into it ?? Chris

Well folks speaking to Stevie about the cage, and once he measured it all up noticed that me defi gauges on the driver pillar need to go or the cage will not go in, so on that note im looking at fitting them on the centre of the dash.. 3 gauges 60mm.. has any one done this to there Classic and if so where did you buy the pod mount,and does anybody have pics to show how and where they put them... any advise will be appreciated and a early thanks for advise... Brill news not long now, all the best, just waiting on some springs tommoro and the heads can be assembled then put back on the block hardest part done.. cage is getting snadblasted and powder coated.. its full steam ahead from now on steve is on my car now full time untill i come home..then will be time to unleash... and should of lost a few pounds also.. Spoke with engine builder and tbh if the Solarise was to be fitted there's another couple of months off the road , and already been off the road for 4 months. So no joys there. The extra cash will just pay for all the trimmings for the engine bay im a stikler for detail so will be looking the dogs well hopefully..let me know how your is coming on and have you started running it in yet... Nice one Scott should be a large smile on your face soon then lol.... Just heard that the Solarise would be a bit of a nightmare fitting on my car Pat needs to make a new loom so his ecu will mate to mines. New sensors need to be fitted to the engine and new looms also made for these sensors. Andy F say's I'll be looking around £2000 installed and mapped. So i think i will need to go to Option 2 fitting the Simtek... hopefully this is a easier option and not so pricey. just means i can spend more money on other wee mods...he he Regards Chris

Well another wee mod just bought, purchased a nice cage, been looking one for a while as i dont want to weld or cut more so will be built around the dash things are coming togeather very nicely.. looking at a new set of Dynamic Wheels in Shiny Black ... im very tempted indeed.. Decided to go with the 3inch Blitz exhaust it had a unanimous vote on my research is a bit loud cant have everything tho. Regards Chris

Still over in the middle east and not spoke to my engine builder in a wee while, so was wondering what stage we are at ?? So an update most of everything has arrived new RCM turbo and waste gate RCM,rotated kit, also looking at getting most of this ceramic coated to reduce the heat, just sourcing the best place to take the bits and piecies, or should i say stevie is, has started on the new heads with all the new cams & porting and shimming once again, so a set of STI 2 heads all ported for sale also a Ecutek soon ,Still waiting on all the fuel set up to be delivered and exhaust, should arrive soon Waiting on more info on the solarise ECU from MR A Forrest ...also looking into plumbing in a fire extinisher to the engine bay just for a piece of mind, dont know if it will happen this time as of the time frame for as for next week Stevie will be full time on mines to have it finished for July.. asked for some pics will post when he has plumbed most of it.. Well to be honest Chris i normally drive my car to any Crail or KH, and the drive up to crail is a nice one and on many occasions i have travelled up, there has always been something to keep you occupied on the onwards journey, by the time i get to Crail the car has been up and down the gears and well warmed up as there are a few straights that you can get a heavy foot and keeping to the speed limit obvisously... you need to give it a bash you will enjoy it..
