Let me put this straight. I have no complaint about the service I have recieved. I am however very surprised that, given the state of my filter, that it is not on the 'replace' list on a 20thou service. I would have been driving with this airfilter for another 8thou miles if I have not checked it personally. As the title states, check your air filter. You check your oil, water and other fluids. Given, in my opinion, that most folk who buy these cars tend to look after them, I thought id point out a possible flaw in the servicing schedule.

I'm not going to mention who serviced it. I did another small mod today, I removed the Ian Grieve sticker from the back window.

Sounds familiar, got my renewal £524. Did a quote online, same company £374. Called up, now sorted £374. How can they expect to get away with it.

If it's not included then it should be. If it is included, then someones going to need some answers.

I've been trying to get a set for the 08 sti hatch for a year now. No luck. I believe Samco bought a set of originals from Subaru directly, but that was about 9 months ago (please don't quote me cause I could be wrong). SFS ? I'm losing the will to live. I can get top & bottom radiator hoses, turbo inlet hosefrom Perrin etc. but no one seems to do a full set

I've got to agree, i've had a 2006wrx and a 2008 sti and both have never really given me the confidence to 'chuck' it into corners. All feels a bit vague. My wife has a clio 197 and its point and squirt. Handles great and feels like a go-kart. I'm sure I'd be quicker A to B in that than the scoob.

I think I'll be calling mine, " OMG, do you know how much you've cost me in depreciation " I'm now scared of what it worth, or not worth!!

Anyone any updates on this. I really could do with an exterior de-tar etc. The cars white and it shows a mile off.

I've got a GFB. Had it on my 06 wrx and now my 08sti. No problems hare.

i've now done 6500miles in my 08 sti, including a 3000 mile trip to the nurburgring and geneva motorshow in march when the car was 1 week old. Its softer than the last sti and, i think its easier to drive. gives good confidence in the twisty bits and i'm averaging about 31-32mpg. I've never reset the gallons per mile computer thing. Don't get my wrong very thirsty when you drive 'enthusatically'. The only problem I have is the lack of shiney bits to buy for the car in this country, I want exhaust, carbon bits, etc. I cant even find out the size of the bloody brake discs to get a nice drilled set.

Just back from the ring, current price is 33euro for1 to 5 laps. stayed at hotel an der nordschleife (75euros per oom per night) I joined the ring at Breidscheid at Adenau and it was 33euros. I doubt its different prices depending on where you join the track, but I could be wrong.
