Reserve List. - Not quite full yet!

    1. JohnS (very much depends on the date, so won't deprive anyone of a confirmed slot) + possibly my wife.

  2. I remember a phrase being quoted by a great man

"If it leans off throw fuel pressure at it and if it dets throw octane at it"

Something like 430hp was achieved by this method on a std ECU and it still runs TOTB and Time Attack today in the guise of Zen Performance, albeit currently with a more advanced level of tuning.

Anyone know what tuner/car i am referring to?

    andy f's 95 wrx ra?

  3. i ran a vf34 on my '05 wrx,my original target was 350/350 and on the research i done at the time

    seemed to point at the vf34,i will add that most of that research was done on nasioc.the spec of the car was;

    perrin fmic

    injen cai

    650 injectors

    walbro fuel pump

    full 3"meercat decat exhaust

    decat up-pipe

    avcr

after remap the car achieved 340bhp/340lb ft.8 weeks later the car was mapped with 10% methanol and achieved

370bhp/348lb ft,car was ran every day for work and made at least 60 crail launches without problems.the '03 wrx

gearboxes will take a bit more power than people think, kevametals car was running circa 420bhp on a wrx.at the end

of the day both turbos will be sufficient for what you want to achieve,as andy said the 35 will achieve full boost a tad

    earlier

  4. Get shot off it you no ya want a banger really :D

    Gordy

i certainly wouldnt swap it for a banger john.

as already said above can you not raid some of the goodies from your car?

i may have a set of standard springs and droplinks from my modding addiction days you can have if it helps.

not so sure id be throwing another 4k into it m8 as you know its £ youll never recoup.

good luck in whatever you decide

    jim

ps.have you asked the big guy upstairs for guidance?

  5. Well my car went to Milngavie on Friday to get the faulty bearing replaced under warranty. Whilst in there they found excess wear on another part and although it caused a delay until Monday it got replaced too.

Whilst the car was over I asked Halleys to look at my gearbox problem as an act of goodwill after the previous service I had from them that wasn't too my liking. They did and found some bolts weren't tight, a spring missing and some sort of tag not in the right place. They've all been righted and although I can't be 100% sure about the 'box I'd like to think my troubles with it are now over. I've not been able to replicate the issue I was having with it 2 weeks ago, but I couldn't replicate it last week before the car had been looked at by anyone.

    Time will tell I suppose.

The service manager over there really helped me out with getting the first bit done under warranty and also looking at the box for no charge. :D

I'm not satisfied bolts were loose on the gearbox though - but that's a whole other kettle of fish for a different garage.

glad you got your problems sorted mate

i know its been a pain in the **** for a while now

just watch out for the horses head

  6. No worries Jim :D . It was three people on the Subaru Forester forum that put me intouch with JAwarehouse (not through fleebay) as they had bought their VF34's from them and had them delivered within 4-5days. Noticed when i was doing the fleebay search that they advertised on there too :(

Its just this feckin country that rips us off!!!!

Even with duty it still a BIG saving on UK prices from what I've read/ researched ;)

deffo a good price mate if its the real thing,i bought 2 from japan about a year ago(diferent supplier)for slightly more than that.1 got through no probs, the other i was charged an extra £22 so not bad.

as you say were ripped off big time over here thats why i buy most bits from japan or usa, even with duty etc its a big saving.

you cant go wrong with a vf34 either mate-quick spooling and pulls strongly all the way to the red line
