an I wont be going to the ABZ meets for the next couple of months, untill about the 10th of November when I'm oot!!! [y]

Personally I wouldn't touch one with a barge pole, Coz when it comes to Minis I'm old school.... Only had a test drive of the first coopers out, and I wasn't really impressed, the winscreen was too far away, the clocks and dials are in the wrong place, I couldn't get a feel for the size of the car at all, which made me HATE it... only good impression I got from that inital drive, was that I liked the feel of the engine and the gearbox, but bearing in mind I was driving a ford at the time, whilst awaiting my (proper) mini to get back on the road....

There should be no question about the weld holding out, indeed the welded bit should be the strongest bit of the wheel now!!! thats the whole point you find that welded pieces dont ever AT the weld, but always around it... providing of course that the weld was done properly.... []
