  3. Hi and welcome to the forum.

Sound like the decat has caused the change, with the exhaust flowing more freely the pressures have changed, well thats what I was told when I decatted my classic.

Are you planning on getting it map? If you want more power and better delivery a map with even miner mods make a big difference.

  4. Great fun yesterday, pity I had to leave early my times were coming down as the day went on (and once I chucked my mate out). Car had no issues except getting traction.

Hopefully get under the 13's next time, better conditions and not carrying 1/2 tank of fuel.

Good to catch up with lots of folk, thanks to Chris for organising this, pity about the car hopefully see it run the next time. Hats off to DamienP1 long trek up for a trackday but car is some machine.

  6. Last change for paypal tickets.

You can still buy tickets tomorrow night at Peter's but have to close the purchase by Paypal tonight.

£1 per ticket or £5 for a Strip.

Simply send me a PM I'll send my email address.

Then go to your paypal account or create one, send your money along with a note of your forum name and address to send the tickets to. Please ticket the gift box to save us incurring any fees/charges.

All tickets will be entered into the draw at the Charity Meal at Peter's (FAI17).

Prizes can be collected or we'll sort out delivery through the SIDC network (anyone going to?)

Hopefully another couple of good prizes to be added.

    Robert

  7. As part of our fund raising for Santa Cruise 2009, Glasgow/Strathclyde and Lanarkshire along with support from all the Scottish regions are raising money for Yorkhill Children's Hospital. We are pulling out all the stops and hoping to raise as much if not more than last year.

Peter (FAI17) has out done himself this year by not only sourcing great prizes for our raffle but two amazing auction prizes. This is for a remap by Duncan Graham.

Some of you may know of his car at Time Attack and from the website Racedymanix. He has been doing exceptional well this season in the Time Attack series with the help of Zen Performance.

Well his donation is a free remap for a newage impreza 2001-2009.

This does not include launch control, flat throttle shifting (these may be able to be added upon request and for a little extra).

The winner would need to be down south or pay for petrol up to do it.... or co-ordinate with when he up in Newcastle mapping etc.

This will make a great christmas present for somebody with a newage and will hopefully promote Duncan Graham mapping up and coming buisness.

Here is a wee link for Duncan Graham's website.

    http://www.racedynamix.com/

Auction is open to everyone, please post your bids on this thread. Please refrain from unnecessary posts. Auction will close on 30th November 2009 at midnight. Payment by cash (although not advisable by post), cheque (prized will be awarded once funds clear) or paypal (please mark as gift to stop your bid incurring fees/charges). This prize is for a newage car. In the event the winner cannot pay the prize will be offered to the next highest bidder and so on.

    Good Luck

    Robert

Auction now ended, Winner is dano17439.

Action now ended, Winner is Badbaz.

  9. Paid the lifetime subscription on the newage after my free year no mention of maintenance. Had an aftermarket one fitted to Mandy's Merc and paid installation and again lifetime subscription and no maintenance.

Can transfer the aftermarket one to another car for a fee but means your getting value for money on the subscription.

What needs maintained there are no moving parts?

  10. It's worth using search for old posts, most members have done similar mods or asked the same questions.

    http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtop...458&hl=wrap

As for when to fit parts, get everything you plan for the current stage of modding get a map date then set aside a time to get everything fitted then drive off boost until it's mapped. No point in damaging your engine running unsupported mods on boost.

Also local meeting area great place to see what others have done and get ideas for the future. :D

  11. Hi folks,

Just quick update on the current standing.

Date now confirmed by hospital as 13th December 2009. (Biker run is the 20th this year)

Stickers will be available hopefully for the next Glasgow Meet.

Meal at Peter's fully booked :iagree: (reserve list started) raffle prizes would be appreciated. Some really good prizes so far.

    Auctions running and pinned.

Shopping trips first one to be decided 2nd will be the 12th December.

    Storage of present sorted.

Prize for best decorated - SIDC umbrella (trying to change the prize every year so it's not the usual remote or model car.

Meeting point will be ASDA Robroyston just of the M80 J2 - G33 1AD. Time 10.30 - 11.00 which gives plenty time for a chat and to decorate the cars. Convoy leaves 12.15 sharp, route will be available on the day. Arrival at hospital 1.00pm. Cars with presents to the main entrance everyone else will be directed to the carpark. Everyone meets at the main entrance for the publicity photos. The hospital lets us use the canteen facilities while Santa  visits one of the wards to hand out a few presents.

After the last coupe of year a lot of us have headed to the Harvester at Hillington for a bit to eat.

    Robert ;)
