Brian - Ta for getting the pics up instead of the links[]I'm stoopid when it comes to that side....Thanks to everyone else for their nice comments [Y][] Spince - bought the splitter from Revolution, £130 approx incl del, T&C fitted it for me (cos it was part of a deal we made when I bought it new) but you could fit it yourself in 1/2 hr - so easy. IMO it finishes the car, the one I got was self colour so didn't need painted. I would say tho if you're going for any other couour than black it may be nice if you get it colour coded?[H] Thanks again all, I'm about to embark on some minor performance mods over and above the PPP already fitted - I'll keep ye all up to date! I had introduced myself some time ago mate - at the shell garage over from BKs - remember? I had a blue 03 STi with the headlight conversion at the time - plus I was just going into the shop for my breaky for work. I would have came say hello but was in a hurry to get into work mate - sorry[] Anyway, as well as sounding ace the car is also looking niiiiice! Bry

Nice one Craig [Y] I'll maybe increase my budget slightly to accomodate it - but if it's as deer as the last H&S system I bought I'll be spending 1k on just the exhaust - LOL. Cheers for the advice mate - it seems like the best option and one I'll maybe hold out for [] Bry -

Cheers bud - ta for the info[Y][] -
Taken me a while to post up pics since I got the car, so here goes! T&C have just ordered another almost identical as their new demo motor, they've changed the rear spoiler and it looks guff, plus the hawkeye definately needs the front splitter IMO. It has the PPP and it drives much smoother than my last 03 STi. The 2.5 Ltr lump definately feels like an improvement to the car in terms of both the practical and fun side. I love it........but it seems as though its a magnet for stupid f*cking idiots parking too close to me even though I park as far away from every other bugger as possible[8o|]. Had to get two door dings repaired already![:'(] T055ers! I chose the medium smoke on the windaes, in order to keep the cops off my back - still looks nice tho[H] [Y][H][]

LOL mate - heard your car about a mile away before I saw it - coming into ASDA carpark Sunday morning. About half a dozen people (including me!) stopped and gawped to see what the farck was making all the bloody racket - hahahaha. What kinda system you got on that car anyway? it sounded fantastic this morning [H]

The 20 odd BHP is noticable, but so is the power when the turbo kicks in. I suppose it may be that on my last car the turbo only really kicked in around 4000 rpm, whereas the new beastie kicks in around 600/700 rpm earlier. I'm also feeling quite clearly the difference between a remapped engine and the stock map in terms of overfuelling, lack of ultra crisp responce etc. Thanks to everyone else for their comments and advise - most appreciated. I'll go the the advise given, but can anyone tell me a nice decat system that ain't too loud but still give good performance? Cheers Bry -
[au]Wondering if any of you very nice people might be able to give me some advice please?[] Just got my MY06 STi couple of months back, and had an 03 plate STi before that. My Scooby before was running 360BHP/340lb/ft and pulled like a freight train, and to this end I feel my new STi is somewhat lacking in the performance dept. I'm looking at an initial budget of £1500 and my new STi currently has the PPP fitted. I haven't Dyno'd the car yet so I'm unsure as to whether the PPP actually delivers the performance increase it promises. An AF remap is obviously a must at some point and maybe unrealistically I'd like to mod it to maintain it's warranty, reliability and drivability. Any suggestions to mods that would keep it as I've dicussed above and provide the max power increase for my cash would be most appreciated. I'd also be quite happy keeping the same power but changing the torque/power curve characteristics to give a more responsive smoother driving experience. Thanks all in advance.[] Bry

370bhp from a 2003 UK STi - what's involved?
bryan_taylor replied to S2000KM's topic in Scottish Scoobies
My last 03 STi which I traded in bout 5 weeks ago had 362 BHP, 340 lb/ft torque (at the flywheel) and simply had a Hayward and scott decat system, larger turbo (an Andy Forrest number) samco inlet and a remap. The lag was increased and the turbo didn't spin up till 3800 rpm but when it got there it was rapid. The exhaust was £800, the samco hose £200 (approx) 2nd hand but nearly new turbo £600 and the remap £700. Total almost £2.5K for an extra 60 BHP, the car also had the PPP as std so also it had the uprated fuel pump. Hope this gives you an idea of cost vs BHP. -

ROFL - put in my place then! That was a real buzz last night - you came up at the back of me quite close, and I thought - this guy want's a bit sport - and so I gave it some welly. The car has the PPP but otherwise standard. And I was trying, the very fact you weren't right on my tail the whole way would suggest that at least I gave you a run for your money! I think at one point I wasn't too far away from the (silly speeds) mark - not quite sure - too busy looking at the road. Anyway - nice bit of sport mate - thanks! PS - your Ferrari is cool as F*ck!!!!!!

Mate, I have a set of brand new gold wheels off my new 06 STi - I can let you have them for £700 (and I might haggle!) also - go to Scottlowe.co.uk for your flaps - full set £141 - and you can specify exactly the colour and decals you want.

Dent in new mota at the dealer! What should I do?
bryan_taylor replied to bryan_taylor's topic in Scottish Scoobies
Thanks for all the comments and advice folks. Dent fixed 100% (dent devils) and first two services free - bonus! The car is looking awsome - I didn't realise the black was metallic till I saw it polished up and in the sun! Will post pics of my pride and joy soon Cheers -
Hi guys Wondering if you can help please. Found a dent in the roof of my new MY06 STi before taking receipt of it from the dealer. I'm due to sign away my life for it this afternoon. They said we could "talk about it" and obviously this will go along the lines of "how much are you going to give me off the price ya b******s". So herein lies the question - what should I ask for in light of the fact I'll be taking on an accident damaged vehicle? It's only a very minor dent in the roof at the rear on the drivers side. Any thoughts would be appreciated - and if anyone has any nice legal one liners I can drop in to make them crap their pants - that would be good too!! Cheers

Go to Scottlowe.co.uk Multiple colour/print combinations and I got a full set for my MY06 for £141 - cant be bad - decent guys to deal with too. Happy flapping!

Prodrive PFF7's or Redline replicas
bryan_taylor replied to philip_wilson's topic in Scottish Scoobies
Mate - talk to Revolution - Revolution.eu.com - very helpful lads - I got a set of the Prodrive originals for £1350 with Toyo T1-R's - and the Prodrive PFF7's are flowforged which makes them stronger than the replicas, or if you ain't kickin the crap outta it on the bends u could go for the budget option - but the genuine article looks so much better - with piece of mind that they are developed for a bit of hard driving in mind. Just my opinion -
Hiya peeps, Have owned my 53 plate WR blue STi since Jul last year, got it from Town and County. I love seeing other Scoob's on the road - it reminds me how much I love mine! Just joined SIDC a few days ago and I'm lookin forward to getting to meet other similarly Scooby mental owners. If u see an extremely loud WR blue with blacked windows and stock golds - gimme a wave! PS - as of the 15th May You'll see me in a brand spanking Black Sti, 18" PFF7's, Black mudflaps with red STI, Front splitter and full PPP and Prodrive suspension!!!! I can't wait!
