Frank, I think you will find Olly only sells the more reliable one. Who did your mate speak to?

Hey Eurosti, how are ya. The car goes back to RCM Oct/Nov and will be their for 4 weeks. 23.5 yrs, well done. I very nearly joined the Royal Marines when leaving School. Virtually got in the RM but was offered a job (civvy st) and took it. See you soon mate.

About 45 minutes EN. For some unknown reason, NONE of my mates ever give me pictures of their wives/girlfriends
-
GOOD PUB they have car clubs meet their. I drove my car to The Woodman with a TVR club. Although a great bunch of guys (25+ TVR's) they were convinced that TVR's were quicker than Impreza's ............... until this particular day They now know different. I'll be up for Saturday 7th

Stiggy .... I have often mentioned to you about the real quick P1 from up the midlands, and I mean real quick, well thats MartiP1 (scroll up). I believe he lives up near RCM. His car is truly awesome in all respects. ("proper blokes stuff")

20withascooby.....it does say rather clearly in my original 0-100mph thread that the winner does in fact buy the first round at the next meeting. Check it out. Cheers mate........... Fudge <- looking forward to the next meeting. Will be bringing everyone I know who owns a Scooby

Hi Nudge.. Matt Clark (RCM) who built my engine, and Dave Rowe (Motec) who mapped it both estimated the engine at 420 -430 bhp at the moment. There is heaps more in the engine however I need many mods to the transmission and suspension before the engine comes back in "blokes mode"

Granby: no it was not bogging. Matt designed the complete engine to come in early. Turbo comes in around 3350 rpm. I tried one launch at 4300 rpm with anti lag enabled two weeks ago. It was a much faster launch, however the inside of my car stunk of burning clutch for the next 30 minutes. Stiggy : thanks for the im mate, however I could not get it to work when cutting & pasting?..send it again..cheers. Hi Marti: hows things with your beast?. I will be coming up to RCM sometime in Oct / Nov to leave my car with them. We shall have to meet up. Marti, before you had launch control fitted, did you try quick off's using A.Lag?, if yes, how did you find it?. It seems difficult to get it right but when you do the grip is insane. To get optimum use of anti lag when launching I find with mine that you need to increase rpm to around 6K then just when the rpm begins to fall, dump the clutch then floor the thing, then lift, then feather, feather, feather then floor it again? As you know yourself all what I have just described spans 3 seconds max, and that is why is is difficult to get it right every time. Launch Control is easier I bet Speak with you soon. Have fun.

Sorry about the delay, wet weekends or work played a part. All following times were achieved on level ground / in dry conditions / full tank of V Power / driver + passenger using a Lorus Digital stopwatch as accurately as possible. We completed 3 of each to supply us with an average. All 6 runs whilst timing 0 - 100 were launched at 3000 rpm (preserving clutch until upgrade later this year). My Launch Control is not enabled at moment. This will be enabled on next visit to Roger Clark Motorsport together with a shed load of other mods. 1st run. 0-100 mph Anti Lag OFF 11.34 2nd run 11.28 3rd run 11.29 1st run 0-100 mph Anti Lag ON (used in 1st only) 12.68 (my fault) got the start all wrong. It's difficult to make quick launch using A.Lag 2nd run 10.89 3rd run 10.96 1st attempt at 50- 70 mph (in 3rd gear) 2.86 2nd attempt 2.82 3rd attempt 2.82 1st attempt at 50-70 mph (in 4th gear) 3.61 2nd attempt 3.64 3rd attempt 3.65 I dare say I could have achieved slightly faster 0-100's launching at higher rpm, but I kept thinking of clutch & box. They are pretty much at limits at moment. 2009 we will have 180-200 more bhp - Launch Control - all new transmission (bomb proof) - double plated ceramic/orgainc? clutch - 6 speed box and various suspension mods (not known at this point). When the project is complete towards end of 2009 I will run the same tests again.

Eurosti...you got three guess's. Hi Rodregos, I believe RCM are running second at the mo. -
It is 420 bhp at the moment. The guy (Melese) is a friend of someone in the club, dont know who though?. He was a real nice guy.

Hey ! what's with the comments on my jeans !! ...and by the way "Still Ginning" drainpipes are now known as "Skinnys".
-
The pipework on his intercooler sprays CO2 via a manual internal switch when his oil temp reaches 110. Track use mainly. That car is rapid. In the 3 yrs I have had my P1 currently running at 430 bhp, that Impreza is the ONLY car that has ever stayed on my a*** !
-
I spent the day with Matt & Olly from Roger Clark Motorsport at the Brands Hatch round of Time Attack. The Impreza (The Gobstopper) was built from the ground up by Matt. Runs at 850 bhp with NO2, 750 bhp without. Check out the wheels only 6.5 kg each (Far right) engine genius Matt Clark, (Middle) My Dad , (Left) Me Thumbs up from Olly Totally Awesome piece of kit. When my car is completed in 2009 at RCM it should be around 120 bhp less than the Gobstopper. Same block and will share many other components.

Sorry about the delay gents.

I parked in a bus stop in Tonbridge high street (with hazard lights on), whilst I popped into a shop to get a drink. Came out and pressed my key remote and nothing happened. Continued to frantically press but it would not have it. To make things worst the bus stop was full of people within a few meters of my car. It was ironic because I could hear several people passing nice comments on the P1 and it soon became more than evident that I could not get in the friggen thing. This is the second time in 3 years that my batteries have packed up in my remote, which led me to think of the following. I keep my car key in my pocket often. When I am at my computer with my keys in my jeans it's more than possible that the button of the remote would be engaged whilst being in a tight pocket?? I had two spare CR20/25 batteries but they were in my office. Keeping them out my pockets from now on !

Hi Ian. I was just wondering how or if I can book up to drive the Lambo & R8. I would like to book it for four of my guys as a surprise. Many thanks

Ben Collins is the current "Stig" and a long serving Perry Mcarthy was the previous Stig.
