I have not been in the SIDC too long, but what I have seen of Gramp's arranging is faultless. Sorry to hear the news matey but I too fully understand your decision. I generally keep out of the club politics as I feel it's crazy that a club so small encounters so many internal problems?. Running a business by myself takes up 80% - 90% of the time I am awake. I joined the club to enjoy the very little social time I have and it's sad that I often read trouble related topics instead of car related. I don't need that. KS is SO small it could be run SO easily if run correctly. I have a small group of what I regard as friends that I have made in the short time I have been here, and if they start to filter out, I will join them.

Love 1. The Subaru community / events / people 2. Based on a competition machine 3. The general feel 4. It's potential. Dislikes 1. The attraction generated, (other than fellow Scooby Owners & Petrol heads) 2. Guys driving cars with similar power levels to the average Anne Summers vibrator wanting to race me.

Lol .yeah right The map sensor failure Hugh, it was never working correctly from when I collected the car in the first place. I know this because since Matt changed it and then I drove over to Motec where Dave tweaked while I was driving. I never gave it any driving back with Dazzler, but since then I have given it some and it's much more responsive. You too would feel quite a difference. Best thing is I received a text message from Matt tonight. It said "more power to come when you are ready for it mate". There is a restriction on it until I decide to run either power pour or Bio. And then there is NOS I called it the 600+ Project and it will be one day.

Thanks Scotty. To be fair RCM had a big part in advising me of what was best. They have found what works well on their car and my car is increasingly sharing more of The Gobstopper parts.

I cant fault the EXE-TC Scotty. Wet & dry conditions feel really positive. As you know they have 40 settings per corner and I run on the road with a 20/20/20/20 set up. I have just set them to 27 to stiffen them slightly and you can really feel the difference. Yep, the AP brakes on the car are really impressive. Good luck with yours

Paul will get it running sweet -
"This time next year you'll be safe to go out with Clive" Sensible thinking It's a bit dangerous finding the limits of this thing now, but I am getting there. What's different is there is no fading of power from 4000 to 8000 (as you know Hugh, having driven it), and "keeping" your right foot flat through the gears can catch you out in a fraction of one second. Track days will be a lot safer due to surface conditions.

Scotty, changed brakes to Ford Granda (large drum brakes) but not up to the job Chassis tweaks consist of welded 2 inch poles from chassis legs to inner wings and 35 lb springs from a Thwaits 3 ton dumper. Sounds harsh but works well in the dry. As for the wet, that will be dangerous. Just kidding mate http://bbs.scoobynet.com/projects-40/71729...-p1-600bhp.html

Now I have had some time finding out how the car feels with the new power levels I can tell you it's more than enough for everyday driving on the roads. Yesterday I nearly lost it big time when flooring it in 2nd in the dry. Caught a slight bump in the road and it literally through the whole car towards the nearside pavement. Backed off just in time. The road surfaces demand a lot of attention when you know you are going to put your foot down, and it is evident in most gears. As Gramby will tell you, even in 6th gear the car pulls very well and resulted in us going around a sweeping left at 145mph before I lifted. The main problem is traffic. B roads with a car at 200 - 300 Mts in front is no good. You will be up on them within seconds then you realise just how high your speed is at your braking point. I was speaking with Paul (Zen's) last Saturday (when I took Gramps to collect his car) and he said "if you are going to have a accident it will be avoiding other cars" and that's about right. Bloody good fun though

What ECU are you running Gramps? I don't have a MAF sensor Hugh. It was my MAP sensor that failed on mine confusing the Motec800 that too much fuel was getting to the engine. A part of the Motec 800 is a 4 bar Map sensor. So it corrected the fuel setting too lean, hence the engine cutting out every time I stopped to a halt. Gramps could have the same problem, although I think it may have something to do with other sensors. -
your car will be quicker soon

I know the feeling. I have driven Sy's 720 bhp (600 lb/ft) Impreza down the strip several times. Mind you, mine does not feel that far behind .... bless it.

Agree with others, you have a way with words Hugh. Very well written matey. Olly was saying that it will bed in and become faster, and the clutch will become easier once worn in. One thing I forgot to switch on was the Anti Lag , that would have made things a little more fun (and louder). It's not near 600bhp yet, I guess around 550 at moment. NOS, r/fuel or larger turbo will soon sort that out though I have been warned by Matt & Olly that the front drive shafts will certainly break with hard launches at the current spec. A photo shoot for a main feature in Redline Magazine will be carried out within the next few weeks. Getting Daz to do his polishing bit on the car prior to the shoot. I think it will be getting a 6 page feature. Glad you enjoyed the drive

Sure have mate. £ 6.00 more 55 pence access

There's a heap more power, just need to learn to control it. Lost the rear end twice yesterday. Just off to meet up with Gramby & ScoobyHoo now, in the wet

Hi Hugh. How was The States?. Yep, I am bedding in slowly with it matey. Where before it was such a smooth drive it's now the total opposite. In fact it really grabs your attention. See you soon !
