Well myself, coulty and playsatan ignored the weather and headed down to scoobyshootout on sunday. Had a great day and the weather held out till after 2.  Some amazing cars attended but must say..

Congratulations to Andy F. Quickest quarter of 9.33 secs without nitrous and running lowish boost ( or so i was told) and 2nd overall in the handling. Not to bad eh??

Was that with the 15" khumos??

Also the gobstopper was really impressive and looks and sounds absolutely the dogs. My highlight of the day was watching all the people jump out the way scared when it jumps forward when Olly put it into 1st. lol... Reminded me of a bike going into gear.

It was also good to see Alan G's car run. It also went well, after a slow take off ( the new owner took it easy off the line as still getting used to it) it went on to post a terminal of 124mph (iirc). More to come from it methinks...

We also got some good ideas for where to go with playsatans car and i rekon it'll be a nice wee beasty when we're finished with it....

Hopefully playsatan will post some pics soon.

As above well done Andy. Would have said hello but looked like he had his hands full.

Cracking day and at least the weather held out until some decent times had been posted. Came away with lots of ideas and the feeling that I'm not pushing the boat out far enough, some of these guys would show you how to really do it.

Anyway here's some of the pics

The Gobstopper, pass the tissues please

Some old timer getting lost on the way to the shops. All his worthers originals must have fell off the dashboard as this is was a 9.3 second pass looks like.

 who is Alan G??

Alan Garrod who is on here as Alan G.....classic with near 600bhp or so but has sold it lately ...well respected too.

What times did Alan's old car run?

Probably close enough james!

My old car had the 3rd highest terminal of the day i believe with 130mph.

New owner had 3rd gear synchro problems since the start of day and managed a best of 11.2 @ 130mph with a 2.0s 60ft time. Definitely a 10 second car in the wings. Billet selector rod broke on his final run, so that was his day ended. Still had everything in the car like spare wheel, jack, tools, interior etc plus it was his first time ever attempting a 1/4 mile, so did well considering.

Shame i never kept it and ran a 1/4 mile. I might have been able to go on the 1/4 mile times list! [;)]

Thanks Guys :P

Peter, be sure and ask Alan which turbo he ran that he would consider most suitable for a road car.

Andy.
