~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 , but you upset the balance of the car on the right kink before the chicane and at the chicane itself by braking. Just lift it works fine [] Seconded ! I watch countless cars hammer on the brakes on that corner.......just back off for a nano second before pinning the fun pedal again .... And Clarkes is also a favourite places to catch folk out.......just hang back on the approach and start accelerating when they are just backing off the brakes. You might run wide a little but you'll always be right up their chuff and on full boost by the time they get going Man ...I need to get back out onto KH CGS
james666 Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 Guys, my mate Paul wanted me to post up to say that Meercat are fixing his exhuast after it failed on Saturday. He took it down yesterday and they were very surprised it had come apart so spectacularly and most apologetic about the whole thing. If their work stands up to big power skylines than the wee one litre hair dryer in the 'blade shouldn't have been a problem. [] So anyway it's all getting fixed and Paul is happy, so no harm done in the end. [y] So he didnt go for my option then????
st3ph3n Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 James, I'm not sure how well your particular brand of democracy would have gone down mate []
moochofun Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 This was my first attendance on a SIDC trackday and must admit that it was the best trackday I've been on yet - I normally stick to the HM events. I must admit I was quite surprised at the high standard of driving - even though there are still some complaints. The event was run smoothly and with no hassle at all - big hand to the organiser and to KH staff. My little yellow Megablade faired quite well on the track compared to some of the big power outputs that were claimed on the day - so it makes my small purchase seem even better[] Thanks again for having me and hopefully see you again. PS Anybody with any photos of the yellow Megablade wanting to give them away, please get in touch[]
4Hero Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 welcome to SIDC mate, you were certainly giving it some stick around the track. Here's a few shots, not the best, but it's all I have. Click on each for the originals [] at least we didn't see any of this from you []
moochofun Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 Thanks for them, hoooooogely appreciated - got a new desktop image now[Y]

the squiggle Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 sorry didn't see the STI RA. - early on the event i was busy rummaging around in my bag looking for curling tongs so sorry - but if you want i can have a look at those split ends ;@) What you could not see a Blue car an inch of your back bumper for the entire lap. I suppose it is perfectly normal for a BMW driver to ignore his mirrors. Less of the sarcasm pal and more of the observation would be called for. Welcome to our wee club
dougster Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 "the dude in the hairdressers car" "If you want a roof vent.....buy a STI RA or a 555 car as they come as std with a roof vent for homologation purposes" "Less of the sarcasm pal" [8-)]

St3ph3n first refferred to the Beemer as a hairdressers car not me, the roof vent remark is aimed at those that fit roof vents to UK cars and finally the last remark was aimed at the guy with one post that was looking for his curling tongs in the car.........i assumed this was sarcasm as if he really was looking for his curling tongs then the organisers at Knockhill would not have been tooooo impressed Wanna see a picture of a loverly White wagon that is sitting in Fife?
st3ph3n Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 I work with the beemer owner, and we refer to it as a hairdressers car in the office. The curling tongs joke etc. are all from that. I'm sure he'll point out though that it is the 3 litre one.
