New Addition To the Driveway

Recommended Posts

Well I managed to convince the Mrs to go for a Subaru..................

Dec 06 Forester XTEn - 2.5 Turbo (230ps) with the Touch Screen Sat Nav, Leather Interior & Electric Sunroof.  I have to say that it is a lovely car to drive and has enough poke to keep things interesting on the back roads.  I just finished waxing her this afternoon as the snow started - some timing?  I'll have to wait till later on in the week to see if the 18" Kahns go on.............

Anyway here are some pictures...........on the new addition to the driveway.

The alloys are 8 x 18" BBS CH's with 225/40/18 Eagle F1's - definitely the best tyre I have ever had (you might have a different PCD from mine 100 vs 114.3).

Dave, it's not a patch on the STI mate [:D] But not bad, not bad at all.

St3ph3n give me a chance dude - she is going to get some Scot Lowe mudflaps, front splitter, STi grille, tinted windows, rear spoiler and 18's - in the next 6 months or so.  Then it will be performance mods so she should look and go brill.

Very nice indeed, the interior looks smart. Your STI is in the best colour too! [:D]

Thanks mate Crystal Grey is the best colour and the great thing is it is very rare up around me (3 CG STi's in Aberdeen according to the dealership).

The near perfect Scooby family.....the Forrester STI would make it perfect[;)]

The little lady was offered a Forester STi instead of the XTEn, but she chose luxury over outright performance - an induction kit, exhaust, remap and/or turbo and it will be rather rapid.

Thanks for all the positive comments guys very much appreciated.

Hi,

where did you get the BBS CH's from, I have been looking for some for my 03 WRX but have been told that are import only from far east!! (at huge cost).

Love the car mate looks stunning and I am away onto the Subaru webpage to drool and see how much it would be for an automatic so I can put in the hand controls.

Shouldn't be import only from the far east (unless the 100 PCD is the problem) - who have you spoken to?  I got mine through my contact at Checkpoint on George St, Aberdeen.

You could do a lot worse mate they are a lot of fun to drive and could keep a WRX honest on a backroad.  All you have to do is make sure you are smooth with the steering inputs as the suspension is softer.  A rewarding car to drive when I feel the need for a change from the STi (if the Mrs will let me have a shot that is).

I spoke to checkpoint, they phoned UK distributor.  They said the offset was the problem!!

Perhaps I'll try a bit harder and phone somewhere down south.

Sorry about all this, seemed to have hijacked your post.

But spoke to BBS myself, they confirmed that not enough offset on these wheels to fit!!, if I should be speaking to someone else, can you let me know?

Really like the Forester by the way, pity my other half thinks one scooby is enough!!
