LurchSti Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 I will be driving a WRX STI Type R 1998, and i was wondering which is the best fuel to use? BP Ultimate or Shell V-Power? Can u assist?
ANDYJDMSTI Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 V power and some octane booster (if you tend to drive harder than normal)
scientific steve Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 always always always V-power keep a couple of bottles of booster in the boot incase you get caught out and have no option than to use other fuel
~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 V-power here too and then a Millers ON top up if going on a spirited run !
LurchSti Posted March 19, 2007 Author Posted March 19, 2007 Cheers Guys, 1st stop on way home will be shell then!!
micra_wrc Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 might be a good idea joining Shell's V-Power club.... the litres of fuel you'll be buying will soon rack up []

P1Andy Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 Thats the first i knew of the v-power club. Application sent away for. Do you use 35 ltr of petrol a week??? More like a day [:'(]
scoobyiain Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 Luckily i only need to fill up about once every 2 weeks but it's always v-power
jamesm Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 Quote Luckily i only need to fill up about once every 2 weeks but it's always v-power I get through more or less a full tank every Monday to Friday, then even more at weekends! Hence the search for a cheap set of wheels for work and commuting. Use a mix of V-Power or Tesco 99.
col666 Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 Stick a knocklink in your Type r and you'll soon see its better to use V-power and Octane booster all the time. Without the booster you cant give it any amount of welly without detonation. Unless yours has been re-mapped. Col.
gus the bus Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 V power and a bottle of millers (no not the beer[]) in every tank for me now that i have the import.

It can be added for a UK car but perfomance won't be greatly improved unless it's been mapped to run OB.
