Hey

I have a 2001 wrx with a nur spec R cat back exhaust system.

I am wanting to go for a full decat?

What is involved? uppipe, downpipe and centre section ? Where is the best place to get these?

Will I need a remap if I get a decat?

Just read your post on SNet as I am thinking to do the same myself.

As far as I understand it decat/sports cat down pipe and decat centre section are needed along with a remap to get the most from it.  Uppipe I dont think is so important on classics but not sure about bug eye.  Not sure if anything else is needed such as an uprated fuel pump??

I was going to post up a simmilar thread so may aswell ask here - is a Prodrive back box good or bad for the above?  Dont actually want it all to be too loud but could fancy more of a burble then I presently have.

I think your up pipe has a cat on the newage wrx .Deffo change the downpipe but it's up to you if you go decat downpipe or sports cat and change the center pipe and deffo a Andy f remap afterwards .I am not sure about the fuel pump.What air filter do you have.Awd in Perth have hayward and scott exhaust system's in stock

I will be ordering a new panel filter asap.

 I emailed AWD asking about a decat for my car as they fitted the existing biltz nur spec r exhaust to it, asking for prices and parts needed.

 Yeah i think the uppipe does have a cat, so for a full decat a uppipe, downpipe and centre section will therefore be needed ? then new fuel pump, maybe a bov, then a andy f remap ?

I've got a 03 wrx and have a sports cat sitting in the garage along with a decat up pipe. I've been told that when you start to up the flow rate the cat in the up pipe can start to disintegrate and get sucked in to the turbo. Also that the downpipe has to come off to fit the uppipe(?) so am getting both done at once.

i have a 2 week old meercat snakehead 3" fully decatted exhaust system for sale.  Will fit newage.

Am only looking for £400 for it picked up.

I have sold the scoob hemce reason for sale.

 It is a great sound from it and is the drager style exit which is nice.
