xraydave Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 Hi guys, sorry about all these questions, but new to scoobies, anyway here goes! Now that my car corners and stops!!! what should I do next, seen a Prodrive sports cat off an STI that I am considering, but would I be better saving my money and going for a decat, I'm not looking for massive power, but 330-350 would be nice, is this still possible with the sports cat. Decat I know is good for that, and a lot more!! but not sure if I can put up with all the swapping about each year for the Mot. Anyone got any good advice or opinions. Cheers Dave
scoobyiain Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 See gus the bus for cheap de-cat pipes. I just got a de-cat and centre section brand new for a bargain £170 [Y]

Alternatively, get a TSL or scoobyworld sportscat downpipe c £300-350 and a decat-pipe and centre section if you dont want the MOT hassle and you can leave out a remap with that package. Check out my Scottish Scoobies special in the For Sale section as I'm currently doing a decat pipe and centre section for £200 delivered[] Gus
scoobyiain Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 Yeah much much cheapness, got the afterburner b/box fitted today [Y] what a sound it makes [] don't think the neighbours will be too pleased. Waiting til after mot and service to fit the de-cat and centre section tho.
gus the bus Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 Its only gonna get louder tho Iain!....fack the neighbours[]

tatty Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 Hi mate, I've gone for a Graham Goode Racing sport cat and 3" exhaust. This is fitted to my 96 sti ra Not loud compaired to my previous H&S decat system. I would also say that i have no difference in power (loss/gain) Have always been a decat man, inc the up pipe, but if i were you i'd go sport cat and then headers. yes it's prob the expensive way to do it but less hassle for mot's and you get BIG BRAGGING points from fellow scoobys for the headers!! But each to their own Martin
