Richard Green Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 Would anyone like to see Mark Higgins or someone of the same ability try and knock the car TT record. I for one would like to approach Richard at Greenlight to see if we could arrange for this to happen for the 100th TT. 1990 was the year I think that Tony did a 102.19 lap of the TT course. Would it be possible for a high performance car to do a 120mph lap ?? http://www.iomtt.com/forums/thread/65506.aspx
graeme_stuart Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 I would love to see that happen again[][H]. I think the record would be smashed.
Johnuk300 Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 It would be good if we could make it happen.
Richard Green Posted December 10, 2006 Author Posted December 10, 2006 I'm trying to see if we can arrange it for TT2007.
Johnuk300 Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 I think that it would be good if they got some one like the american chopper team to build a bike to mark the 100th TT anniversary.. I think then that it would bring alot of other people to the island.. Also we could get all the bikers that come over and the ones that live on the island To line up wheel to wheel to see how far around the circuit they can get. You never know we could get in the book of Guinness world records!
Manx minx Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 I like the idea of getting one of the rally drivers to try to break the car record, though I can't see it getting pulled off this coming year but you never know. Nix[]
robert_harding Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 that would be great it happened. i have that said video....and thought about it also.
cupradave Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 knowing how much organisation goes into the TT entertainment I also think it would be cutting it fine to do it this year I could also mention this to Peter Duke, I dont think it would fall within Greenlights production rights for the TT anyway, if Greenlight did not want to do it I see no reason Duke could not, am in the office tomorrow getting ready for the London Bike Show so will mention it if he is in. great idea however, have thought about this for ages. never ceases to amaze me why Tony Pond did not pick a better car though ???

Johnuk300 Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 I think for this one you need to think out if the box... What about a JCB, Cinclaire C5.
