steve_nairn_sti Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Afternoon All, We're hoping to organise a Santa Cruise for the Highlands this year, albeit at short notice. If you can lend us your support on the day then please add your name to the list below. Events will probably take place on the weekends in December but I don't know which ones yet! We may be able to organise a specific day of charity collecting in Inverness town centre with a few of the cars (With a bit of luck![]) Then I reckon there will pobably be a seperate day when we go to Raigmore to present the gifts etc. Please show your support for this worthwhile cause!! 1. steve_nairn_sti
steve_nairn_sti Posted November 15, 2006 Author Posted November 15, 2006 Poor show so far people![] 50 views and only one reply! (Cheers Dave) Thanks to 360ste for the PM too. In order to give us enough time to get the wheels in motion IF this goes ahead, we need to have all volunteers on the list by Thursday PM so that we can start making calls on Friday 17th Nov or make the decision to cancel. I understand that it's going to be close to Christmas and everyone will be busy but it'd be nice to give the kids a better Christmas too. Provisional dates (without contacting the authorities) will be Sat 9th Dec for collecting and Sat 16th for delivering... or possibly the 23rd although I'm aware a turnout would possibly suffer from it being so close to Crimbo. Not convinced that we'll be allowed to have a collection without some kind of license but I'll give it my best to get something arranged. Anyone who can't attend but wants to donate, please PM myself or Dave. Thanks in advance. So, once again..... Who's in?? 1. steve_nairn_sti 2. scooby222
westtra Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 I'm more than happy to turn upa nd help at the cruise or collection aslong as am not offshore
bigal024 Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Cant make the weekend dates lads, but I'll do anything to help during the week if I can make it. (Work-wise) Al
scooby222 Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 thanks Al and Mark, any more? cmon this our last chance, you dont even have to put your own hand in your pocket just a bit of your time to drive up to the hospital
steve_nairn_sti Posted November 17, 2006 Author Posted November 17, 2006 Thanks to Mark and Al but we really need concrete support for the days suggested above before we can organise anything. Looks like it's going to be a no-go unless we get some more support in a couple of hours. Last call people...
steve_nairn_sti Posted November 17, 2006 Author Posted November 17, 2006 Right, going to have to pull the plug on this one...[] Guess we just didn't get our sh1t together in time. Maybe next year when we have a (hopefully) bigger contingent we'll be able to do something for the kids. Thanks to those who tried anyway.
