STi_Bandit Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 Finally got my Gus the bus rear stut brace fitted, toke just over an hour to do most of that was taking the rear seats and trim out. After that installation is pretty straight forward much like the front strut brace, though i would recommentd to any one doing this to remove the seat belt tensior unit makes getting into the bolts so much eaiser. Inital reports is the car feels a lot more planted on the road with a much greater reduction in roll. will give a thourgh test tommorow up some country roads Another Gus the bus statisfied customer Bandit

I removed it and sold it. Extreme Motorsport told me the newage is so stiff as a shell that it barely would benefit unless Carbon Fibre - they said all I was doing was plcing extra stress on my components by stiffening them up and removing sometimes necessary flex for normal road driving. However, for a classic they recommended lots of upgrade as the shell is nowhere near as stiff. Bria []
st3ph3n Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 STi make braces for the new age don't they? You wouldn't think they'd be making bits that had detrimental effects. Personally I noticed a big improvement with the front one. Just need to get my rear one installed now.

gus the bus Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 Brian, have to disagree with you mate![] I though that the difference with both the front n rear fitted (along with the Teins) was significant. Prior to that the car felt like a pile of cack compared to me old classic IMHO[] maybe because you only had the front one fitted???? Gus
