boxerboy Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 fancy getting myself a set of wheels for my classic scoob but dont know if i should go for 17s or 18s what do you guys think cheers dave
johnnyr6 Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Depends what you prefer, looks...18's but handling and performance...17's
boxerboy Posted October 15, 2006 Author Posted October 15, 2006 do you think 18s would rub? just think its a bit of a waste of time going from 16s to 17s
M8JOF1 Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Get the 18s bought, they dont rub theres bags of room even when your Scoobs lowered 45mm.
stevie 4 Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 i have 18's on and my scoob is lowered the fronts do rub a little sometimes but im usually doing 80 round a tight corner at the time[] then again iv actually just thought it might actually be my mud flaps[^o)]
paul_honthy Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Went for 18s myself.Love the look but it does affect the handling and accelleration IMHO. But its all down to personal taste. Do you want the bling look or the blinding performance. Personally Im thinking of going for a set of lightweight 17s cause I miss the sharpness of the original lightweight 16s but do want some looks.
frank c Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 18's for bling and 17's for handling for me as said above. Frank
col666 Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 I think you should alter the title of your post[:$]
euan_r Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 just dinnae get a cheapo package deal like i did, as the wheels are as heavy as fook compared to the subaru originals. Then again they do stand up well to a bit of abuse[:$]
