tony_cousins Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 So are we gonna choose a venue and get it booked ????? It will be a shame to miss yet another x mas meal []
vickyk Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 Were easy on the venue but i think we will all have to try and agree on a date
baser999 Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 With hindsight it would perhaps have been easier to have set a date earlier on and then this would have given everyone the opportunity to reschedule their own plans around it. Having to decide / vote on a date, then the venue all becomes a logistical nightmare as we know with the t-shirts saga.
tony_cousins Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 No worries Vicki [] I think the best venue would be the one in Gravesend for the fact that you get your own food and can eat as much as you want [] that way you dont have to buy a complete meal and can have what you want [H] If nobody has a problem with this all we have to do is set a date and then ill let them know [] If anybody thinks it is too late to arrange something I would like to point out that we did try months ago but to no response [] I know it is late but those who really want to come will make it im sure[] Cheers Tony
HOL Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Just get some dates Tony. As long as the venue chosen, is central to everyone, has safe car parking and a varied menu we should be alright (although I personally will just go for Turkey and Pud etc). Besides, no-one has come back with any solid recommendations for good pubs, restaurants or hotels.
tony_cousins Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Cheers Andy [Y] The place in Gravesend is in the town centre and after six pm you can park right outside the diner in the high street, i eat there all the time and have never had any problems [] Will get a few dates sorted out then [] Tony
HairyDJ Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 would love to join you folk again, if the date is ok for us, just don't feel it's right for an ex-pat to steer you locals towards a decision. Can't wait until we get to the voting bit <grin> and duck!!

kaan_ors Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 working that night I'm afraid and not allowed to take any holiday in December, which is a shame as I love chinese food......and curry.....and italian....and tex mex.....and turkish.....and french.....and spanish....and good old fish and chips.
