craig mac
How long would you recommend i run these on the car before Knockhill on the 7th? Craig Link to comment
st3ph3n
5 miles should do you Craig. We've all seen you launching from the christmas tree or hurling it round Knockhill. But seriously, when I put my second set of RE050s on the car it felt like Bambi on ice until I'd done maybe 200 miles of regular driving. 70s should be about the same I'd imagine. Good luck with them if it rains! Link to comment
AlanG
Do a few high speed repeated hard braking, say two or three of those, then check you've got a load of heat in the tyres after stopping. This should be enough to scrub the initial coating on them. Link to comment
craig mac
Aye thanks lads. Will stick them on for the journey south and do as Alan says. Cheers Craig Link to comment
johns
The run down (100+ miles) should be more than enough, with some cornering thrown in. The initial 5 minute warm up session will remove anything that's left on the surface, and roughen up the surface a bit, after which be prepared for silly levels of grip (assuming it's dry of course!). AlanG
Don't be shy in doing it Craig. You need to get proper heat in them. (You'll soon know when you put your hand on to check) Link to comment

st3ph3n
Wheel bags are excellent Craig. I got a set last year in another GB. I'll be driving up in my Goodyears then busting out the worn, but now track-tastic RE050s. Link to comment
