clutdav
Do you have a WRX or an STi and what age? If it is a newage STi there has been a well documented problem with the Eibach springs not fitting properly and making a banging noise in the front suspension. The WRX's don't seem to be affected. Or at least that is what I seem to remember about the situation. I am sure that someone will be along soon with the full story/answer to your problem. I would recommend Prodrive springs if you want a nice complient ride and good handling or Tiens if you want to go really low and don't mind the more harsh ride quality. Dave Link to comment
twofourdonkey
Just changing the springs shouldn't mean you need bumpstops. It sounds like either the springs don't fit, or aren't fitted propally. Link to comment
Spaceman
alright mate its a 55 plate wrx which if im right the front suspension is the same set up as the sti so this could be the prob so people with the sti and eibachs how did they sort the prob id heard that with the sti bump stops were fitted with prodrive springs to sort the noise. any one got the story wi the eibachs on the sti ? st3ph3n
The 05WRX has the Inverted struts like the STI. Not sure if they are identical or not though. I have Teins on my 05WRX without any issues. The bump stops have to be modded though, it's in the instructions. Link to comment
twofourdonkey
Bump stop aren't there to stop noises, they are to prevent the strut bottoming out. If it is bottoming out, the springs are the wrong rating, or too short. I don't know whats wrong with yours, but bumpstops won't fix it.[] Link to comment
