micra_wrc Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 had a good run tonight, I got split up at the lights and it took some of us a while to find the rest of the convoy but caught up with them eventually [] good turnout and blether with usual suspects and some new faces some pics below
wrxmania Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 Looks like a good night for it - I was getting bored at a gig tonight [] And ogling Cameron's (http://www.stainlessexhausts.com) M3 [Y][:S][]
the squiggle Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 The Growler was an awesome bit of kit. Good run over the Fintry road Met a few more new faces Special ello to the couple from Cardonald................................Hello
ally-b Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 Nice pics Imy . [Y] Thanks go to Grant for helping out with the route , and leading the run tonight . I didn't know if I'd manage till the last minute and Grant offered to provide 'plan B' if I was too busy at work to get anything planned ... Cheers mate [] I had suggested that tonights run would be the last evening-run till spring (due to early nights and dodgy weather ) but a few members said that they would like the runs on meet nights to continue . So what do you all think ? 1/ No evening runs on meet nights till spring . 2/ Run every meet - regardless . 3/ Arrive with a full tank on meet nights (just-in-case) , and have a vote on the night to decide whether we'll brave the elephants or retire to the bar/restaurant Discuss [^o)] Al.
the squiggle Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 Deputy Dawg says No Problemo Turning up at future meets over the dark months is a good idea in case the vote says run, even a run doon the water would be acceptable. Partial to the wee bit of tarmac just after the turning for the bridge for testing purposes .....but if it is teeming down then a social gathering talking keech would be equally acceptable. Fortunate our meeting point has V-Power on tap so either option is feasible
ANDYJDMSTI Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 even though i have not been on a run yet this year i defo say 3. gotta have something to do with the car when it is back apart from sitting spanking over it!!!
fai17 Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 Good pics Imy Option 3 for me and if yous want to talk and have a drink then why not come to mines and give me some money rather than getting robbed at BF..?(not in it for the money but i have a few mods i have to pay for[])
micra_wrc Posted September 8, 2006 Author Posted September 8, 2006 option 3 Ally. i've liked the past couple of meets because we've been on a run [] and its good going for a drive with the rest of the locals we can sit and blether/eat pretty much any time of the year........ actually some of you do so at peter's every sat night LOL
craigwrx Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 Hope u had a good time chaps ..did anybody think of me slaving away at work [] Option 3 Craig
McGoo Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 Good run tonight. A bit stop-start due to the lack of Navigators in the PAX seats at some cars at the back ;0) Roads were good, brakes got a bit warmed up !!! Plenty of nice motors there. And that stonking Yellow guest !!! Not seen one of those in the flesh for years. Very very nice - though your front near side headlight needs attention - spotted in my rear view mirror as we came out of the tunnel. Cheers to everyone who said hi, and to Billy for warning me about my jammed on Brake light. Good job I had spares in the glove box. As this was only my first of the year due to work commitments - I'd go for option 3 for future meets. Even in the dark... shades of the old (proper ) RAC setting off in the early hours of November mornings through wee country roads, lights a blazing - get the motors out on the road if the weather is not too bad. Mibbe's a wee jaunt down the coast to Largs etc ( via the back roads of course ) ?
st3ph3n Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 3 for me too. The run we did in February to Helensburgh for a wee portion-o-chips was a cracking route so that's always a good plan to keep in the back pocket in case of emergencies. Got to agree with Peter regarding the grub. Would much rather we decamped down to his for a wee Satay should it be decided an evening of inane banter is in order rather than a run. Oh and the Lancia - simply outstanding.
Gumball Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 option 3 is a must. that way when i appear shortly with another scoob itll be just like the good old days except ill be older and wiser
PECO Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 Option 3 sounds good, as long as we avoid the Clyde Tunnel....................
G.Mac Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 Wheres the Squirrelvision tunnel expose? hurry up Graeme []
scoobaroo Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 Yes Graeme [] hope Grant has some video and SOUND footage from our sedate cruise thru the tunnel. AWESOME noise [Y] [] [Y] think we woke the dead !!! [H] Marty.
