Shell V-power : availability?

Anyone been filling up with Shell V-power in Glasgow and surrounding areas?

My local station still has Optimax but has only 10,000litres left and is due delivery of V-power next week, but has anyone been using V-power yet?

And have you confirmed that it is V-power in your chosen petrol stations tanks?

What price are you paying just now?

Cumbernauld/Old Inns on the A80 was out of Optimax for about 2 weeks while they changed over.I've been filling up with the V-Power for the last week, filled up yesterday @ 98.9p/ltr.

What i need to be sure of is that the tanks are clear of Optimax for definite, so sites which have a high fuel turnover are what i'm looking for.

The Cumbernauld one is a bit out the way (unless i'm passing by) but always seems to be a busy station, so looking promising, as does Hillington.

Alan this new fuel has been delivered to sites across the board for the past 8 weeks.

Shell dont run thier tanks down to zero like some other companies do.  So they have been diluting the old Optislax with the new V-pish for the past 8 weeks. As you pointed out, the higher turnover staions will be your best bet for a better grade of the new fuel.

I am a wee bit dissappointed with 99ron aspect as 100 would have been a lot nicer for the import guys and gals.

So i reckon we need to wait another 6 years for 100ron V-Max.................bar-stewards

Shell in Whitburn has all the branding, stuff inside the shp and boarding/signage changed outside the shop.  It was 101.9 yesterday.  It is always busy, so I'd imagine reasonably high turnover.

Shell at the bottom of the Kingsway Dundee V-power 99.9 .It just had the V-power on the pump no other signage.My sti seems to have a bit more power well i am using V-power and Millers octane plus

I've just emptied my tank of 97 + 1ml NF and trying out Optimax + meth. Was hoping to run V-power + meth for a few days to "flush through" the system before filling up for next week.

What shift are you on this week JohnSt if i need to take up your offer?

Filled up tonight - 98.9 in Glasgow Baillieston.  7p per litre more expensive than unleaded which was 91.9.

Ran the car this morning with V-power and meth.

Does seem to be smoother as it revs from 2-4000rpm where my car isn't doing a lot in terms of boost but is where most of your driving is done.

Without datalogging i can't tell if there is any actual improvement in terms of performance, but initial reaction is that the engine is happier with V-power over Optimax.
