bigal024 Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 Guys, Would like to pick your technical brains here. I've noticed that recently, when I come to a standstill in my car i.e- at a set of lights or stopping at a junction, my car tents to "sit down" a little at the rear end. Theres no funny noises coming from the suspension, and no major handling issues, it just tends to drop down a little as i come to a standstill. Its not a massive amount, but just noticeable(Especially on the drivers side), and annoying, as Its got me worried that my suspension my be fecked Anyone got any ideas, before I book it in for a check? Many thanks, Al
col666 Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 Mine started doing that but was also clunking at low speeds, turns out the dampers knackered.[] Its a weird feeling sitting at the lights when the back of the car drops down a wee bit! New teins getting fitted on wednesday []
st3ph3n Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 Mine was doing the exact same thing. Rear shocks replced under warranty and now sorted.

bigal024 Posted August 26, 2006 Author Posted August 26, 2006 Cheers guys, Here's hoping that the nice gents at Eden will be most helpful. ;-) Al
steven_williams Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 give me a shout when you are back in work. I still have the old shocks off mine. Can trial fit to see if your are F'd. Takes about two hours.
steven_williams Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 Just a thought, does it happen when you have put the handbrake on. (you do know what that is[])? As it uses a different set of brakes than the footbrake, so has a tendancy to rock back slightly. Just like a landrover.
bigal024 Posted August 27, 2006 Author Posted August 27, 2006 Hi Steve, I'll be back up the road on Monday. Sent you a text message. ;-) Al
