Hello All

Back from the hol's. [;)]

Haven't got pics of my soob yet but am on the case, has anyone got pics of their's?

Does anyone have a Toad Alarm fitted to their car?  Mine goes off  when you walk past it, it's windy, drizzle or even if a fly lands on it.  Can i do some thing to fix this myself (other than rip the speaker out) or would i have to take it to a Toad specialist?

Not got one, but my bro in law used to in his ford puma(he he ..girls car!)  Posts as Double Zero now!

Turned out to be the bonnet sensor.  I would take it to the nearest fitter and ask them to look at it.  Pretty sure a sensor of some sort is set to high!

I have a toad alarm and I seemed to have problems with it shorting in the wet and making funny clicking noise. Bonnet sensor seemed to be where the problem was. Took it to the guy who installed it. He was standing with the horn in his hand and the car was still making a noise. He was worried my car was haunted but it turned out that the car already had an alarm before the guy I bought the car from installed the Toad and it was faulty. Never even new it was there as I didn't have a remote for it or anything. It got a few laughs in the garage though. The guy got some stick fae his mates.

So to some up Toad alarm and never had a problem!  [:)]

I have one on my mini.  There is a control box that controls the sensitivity.  Try to locate this and you can turn it to what ever setting you wish.  I will try and get a pic if you wish.   Another thing that can be done is to close all air vents in the car when leaving.

Cheers for that folks.  Bigbadboad, if you could put that pic up that would be great.  I had a bash at lookin for the sensor and main box so i could see if there any way of turning down the sensitivity but since i dont have the first clue what that even looks like i thought better of it.

I agree with every one that the Toad alarm works great, in fact i'd say mine works just that little bit too great.

Cheers again [:)]
