STi_Bandit Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 I thought that normal optijuice was 98.8 ron so the new v-power is only .2 of a ron more Bandit
thefastone Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 Well by the sounds of things its what youve been useing for weeks now anyways....
FastScooby Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 Seemingly according to wagonwheels the crook of devon pump has all the stickers promoting v-power.. Just phoned my usual shell in rosyth and they have the stuff in the pumps but no stickers
st3ph3n Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 We were running it at Knockers on Saturday as Cumbernauld's tanks were full of V-Power. Seemed to run quite nicely too. [y]

BriWRX Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 I spoke with customer services at shell pluspoints and if you are an optomax card holder your points will carry over and you will get the new v power cards probably next week as there is a bank holiday this weekend. She also said if you fill up with v power on Monday's you will get double points . Regards Brian.
RA Dunk Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Petrol station @ Camelon covered in flyers and the label on the pumps too! lets see if it makes any difference!?! ormiboy Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 first tank yesterday, quite impressed so far. Not long now tho till it jumps in price. the shell garage at musselburgh bloke says its on the old optimax price for a while but then a 3-4p jump. Willie.

Not long now tho till it jumps in price. the shell garage at musselburgh bloke says its on the old optimax price for a while but then a 3-4p jump. Willie. If it does this, then I'm ditching it for Sainsbury's S/UL, as I had to fling a quick tenner in there yesterday and it was only 94.9 litre wheras Optimax was 98.9 in Hamilton. If this jumps 3-4p, I won't bother using it often[:'(]
st3ph3n Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 I paid 98.9 at Shell near Equis in Hamilton yesterday. Was quite pleased with that price as I paid 106.9 2 weeks back. Forgot to ask if it was V Power.

Forgot to ask if it was V Power. That's where I filled up yesterday, Stephen. I asked the girl behind the counter (she's got used to my face since my household has a WRX and a GT- if they were getting V-Power, and she didn't let on if it was in the tanks yet, but did say her Boss was down in south on a launch day with Shell.
scoobyfuzzy Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 ive noticed a wee bit better acceleration in the last week, im assuming it cos of this new fuel. fuzzy
RA Dunk Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 i can get it in peterhead, even the old optimax labels have been taking off and replaced with the new ones, filled up in dundee today and got plain optimax then filled up in edinburgh and got the old stuff as well , thought with it going official that every garage would have it?
jcscoob Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Acid was that the garge at the south side of the forth road bridge that never had it yet? as i would'nt mind a tank of V-power for getting the new map (tomorow) ! []

vicki Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 I paid 98.9 at Shell near Equis in Hamilton yesterday. hey, that's my petrol station lol Is this petrol just for mod'd cars or can I use it too [*-)]
st3ph3n Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 You should use it Vicki, they work MUCH better on optimax/v-power. Test have proven it on non-modded cars, not just modded cars. I've only put non optimax in twice and both times were about £5 each.
vicki Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 Thanks Stephen. I have never used anything else but optimax since I got my car. Will start using the new stuff now []
