Sorry but I never managed to get any pics of you spitting flames [] it was nice going for that pint/orange juice at Powmill, we got shooed off the pit lane pretty quickly! Did anyone else notice how nice the food they were serving looked..... mmm
johns Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 Glad you all enjoyed the day[] Great to meet so many new faces, as well as lots of regulars. I did say to everyone attending that the weather would be fine, but wasn't expecting it to turn out that good! I must admit, I was somewhat worried arriving at Knockhill at 8am to find it covered in thick fog, but it slowly lifted until the track opened, after which the heat from the cars seemed to burn it off in record time [] Good to see Craig Mac on track at last - car was running very well from what I saw and heard (I knew you would like being on track), as was Peter's until the smoke problems (glad to hear that the car is fine). Well done to Spooks also for going out on track at last, though you did take a lot of persuasion from quite a few people before finally venturing out. Out next event at Knockhill is on Saturday 7th October - another 9am to 1pm session, and you'll find slots available to purchase in the club shop now. Be quick, as I'm sure this one will sell out very quickly indeed! Cheers John
rallye6 Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 another good day at the race's. my thanks again to Russ ( mako ) for the passenger laps the car gets better every track day. Craig mac your car sounds good mate, like theirs a lot of horses under that bonnet "ow sorry I meant sheep"[] brian[H]
gogsie Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 That was me Pete, along with the entourage, twas me Gogs (Gogsie), Julie the love of my life, she's looking! and Hollie & Hayley my little petrol heads. I'm going to have to stop Hollie and Hayley going on pax laps in the Caterhams and 340R's. All I get afterwards is my car is naff and I need to get a Caterham. What I really want is that Supercharged Exige "The Red One". What a tool that thing was. Not practical for transporting my entourage but christ it came by me like I was standing still. Might have to get me one of those! You and Craig's cars are awesome. I think a stage 2 maybe required. I will see how the car feels after my andy f remap.
st3ph3n Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 I knew I forgot to thank somone - JohnS for organising a top day once again.
fai17 Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 Hello Gogsie.....remember to let me know how you get on with the AVCR[]
C3SSE Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 Yeah big thanks to John S. I had a great time execpt when my brakes failed i think the fluid was cooked. That was first trackday which i really enjoyed. I just didn't have the driving skills to do what the car is capable of []. I would also like to thank Colinvw for the little tip on cooling the brakes also the guy with the 22b that gave some good adivce. Hopefully nothing is seriously wrong with the car. If anybody has any pics (Escort Cosworth) Please mail me them.
