craig mac Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 Sorry all 4 or 5 off the usual crew here in Abz. But am heading to one of the above this weekend, Canna be ersed standing about in a rain drenched forest somewhere taking pictures am afraid. Rather sit in a car on a rain drenched track, with diff set to rear and having a hoot and take some pictures But which track i ask myself.....Would be nice to try the 1/4 for the first time ever.......but it would also be nice to get some tail action on Knockers for again for the first time in the new age....Do you get "L" plates for both events? So where will i go.........................................[*-)] Craig

micra_wrc Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 i would say knockhill, more heart-in-mouth-moments than going up and down the 1/4 mile [] also cos its a driver's trackday, no numpties on the track to bump/nudge you

philip_wilson Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 Craig, I would say go to Knockers and leave Crail for the 10th Sept and with a bit of luck I'll have a wee surprise for you[]. I was planning on going to knockers but Kloon made me put my name down for the rally[].

Gumball Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 go to KH forsome fun and as Imy said, some heart in mouth moments. Your not going to enjoy yourself as much at crail in a straight line as you are thundering down the straight at KH wondering if you have showed off a bit too much past the crowd and tried to make a point to the car chasing you before you spin out at Duffis and think your going to total the STI. See you there Hector
Big Daz Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 I'm pretty sure crail are holding a track day during the day as well as the 1/4 mile at night.... its usually pretty quiet there too Fee, You and Adam dropped out of Knockhill tomorrow? [] Daz []

johns Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 Craig, Knockhill is fully booked. You can't just turn up and get on. True, but there have been lots of people dropping out over the past few days for various reasons, and I've been filling the slots from the reserve list and making some people very happy indeed [] Currently, the reserve list is empty, so there is a very good chance that there would be one or more slots available tomorrow morning. I would recommend arriving early and attending the briefing. That way, you can get straight out on track, instead of having to get an individual briefing later. Remember, to go out on track you will need to wear a long sleeved top or jacket or fleece or whatever, as long as your arms are covered. If you are driving on track, you'll need to bring your driving licence. John
