gus the bus Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 Guys n girls, picked up my new wheels today and Dougie (the owner) has stated that if you phone them and say that you know me "Gus" and are a member of the SIDC they will give you substantial ie more than 10% discount on all products. Ask for dougie when phoning. Their website is www.dp-motorsport.co.uk but phone for any particular items as not all products are online including exhausts, cleaning products, ICE etc... and if they dont have it they can get it. Gus[]

gus the bus Posted July 22, 2006 Author Posted July 22, 2006 Stephen Pirelli P zero neros in 225/40/18 were £330 fully fitted. I'm sure youd get a very good deal if your running 17's. Gus
st3ph3n Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 That's damn good. I'm on 17"s. Think I'd lose compliance with 18"s and turn it into an uncomfortable skittish nightmare. Don't fancy any of their wheels which is good as I have no wonga for them anyway!
gus the bus Posted July 22, 2006 Author Posted July 22, 2006 Stephen, dont go by whats online mate. If you have a particular wheel ie Buddy Club etc.... they will do @ great prices.
st3ph3n Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I didn't hear that. I didn't get 9 months 0% on a credit card this week either. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
gus the bus Posted July 22, 2006 Author Posted July 22, 2006 o% finance. why get it and not use it[][]

gus the bus Posted July 22, 2006 Author Posted July 22, 2006 Uni debt! leave that for now. Enjoy yourself young man. DP will do stainless exhausts snakeheads etc too. get the wheels too an get an extra big discount[]
G.T. Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 stephen if you need tyres see vicki no sure about the spelling but its the vicki that stays up your way with the silver classic her hbby or bf cant remember works for kwikfit and would match anything price wise
lescazscoob Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 dp motorsport would not touch them if they were the last alloy company in the world. COWBOYS is an understatment and this company ripped me off big style at last years f&m show. dougie is the most arrogant and unhelpful person i have met and am currently seeking legal advice. they took my car into show last year putting alloys up against car t see what looked best, we eventually settled on a set of 17" magnums without tyres a special SHOW DEAL? cost me £620. was guaranteed they were correct wheels for car but on taking car to FP they advised me i had wrong offset and that was where all my probs were coming from. on looking online the wheels were £130 cheaper and come with tyres(some spcial show deal eh!) they would not answers my phonecalls hung up on me and also transferred me to various others. i also ordered flush valve caps and locking wheel nuts which were paid later casting £30 and it took 3 months for these to arrive. i have this set of alloys under my stairs, am 620 worse off and will be lucky to get anything back for them. so if i was you STAY WELL AWAY go to a reputable company and spend your cash not a bunch of cowboys like this lot. p.s) if you know anyone looking for alloys LOL!!![]
gus the bus Posted July 24, 2006 Author Posted July 24, 2006 That is not a good report and sad you have had that bother[] I hope you get this sorted out! I have to say with me its been quite the opposite they couldnt have been more helpful to me with my package. correct wheels, tyres and offset etc. @ an excellent price and a few freebies chucked in too all with me in a couple of days. Gus
rabskyline Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 i have used them and bought a sterring wheel and boss kit for my skyline which didnt fit ! took it back and no drama just cash back with an apology ! i have however heard of a couple of stories about the father and son with regards to others but been ok with me so far !
bigdavie Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 are these the boys just round from bobby jones's ??
paul_honthy Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 Cant say Ive had any bother with them over the years i've used them. The alloys I got were a cracking deal and Dougie has always been really helpful when trying to source parts for me. But I suppose every company has horrer story's. Hope you get it sorted mate!
lescazscoob Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 citzens advice basically say it their word against ours they say that they told us that these wheels would not fit on the subaru and we didnt mind????? why would anyone buy wheels that did not fit? eapecially at that price? i have reported them to trading standards but if i want anyting done it will be through small claims court. so looks like the wheels will lie there untill i get a buyer or buy a car that they fit??? i found dougie very unhelpful he just took the pi** out of me was so tempted to have a go at the show but les wouldnt let me. i wanted to take the alloys and through them at him in front of all his customers.
gus the bus Posted July 25, 2006 Author Posted July 25, 2006 was so tempted to have a go at the show but les wouldnt let me. I would have! Bl**dy right thats how you get things sorted. It might tho be worth keeping the "details" of this grievance private especially if a court case comes to being. I'm sure any legal person would advise the same. Just a thought. Gus
rabskyline Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 are these the boys just round from bobby jones's ?? no thats another company " motorspeed" i think . dp is out the prestwick road . it used to be called the lay by ! wagon rd. ayr.
