Whats up with it anyway? Cracked ? Its a fun wee track for cars not suited to big straights! I have your litre of oil in the back of the range rover waiting.
Big Daz Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 Lol Adam, Its not cracked, we are changing from Std exhaust to "custom" 4 branch side exit type thing. I spent a few hours yesterday with the hacksaw and a load of bits of pipe cutting and matching bends. I must stop watching American chopper & hot rod so much [:$] Maybe I need to go and find myself a MIG now [] Ours hasnt used any oil in 5 trackdays now !! - maybe it just sits in the sump & doesnt go anywhere [:eek]

Update from here - I have just been handed 4 nylon bushes for the rear beam conversion - machine shop is now on the metal mounts [] Ah the joys of access to a machine shop []

Fee Posted June 26, 2006 Author Posted June 26, 2006 If you're on the trackday, you get free entry to the evening 1/4 mile and I THINK a discount for running on the 1/4 mile (but I don't know for definite) Otherwise normal charges apply....£7 entry or something like that and £15 for the 1/4 mile

My cars interior is now gone and I have made an erse of the wiring on the gauges, they now read in reverse, lol.... Something for this evening, along with another soundproofing chisel session.................

We're still fettling just now, but it'll be ready Extra bracing in the cage, bit more weight saving (after exciting 'oh shit, the cars on fire' incident), and a general wee service. Did a compression test last night.... not sure what book figures are supposed to be but it read between 185 to 200psi across them all. No toooo bad i think for a 114k mile 20yr old toot toot

We gave the car a service last night, finished painting the inside and fitted the door bars (finally!) so it should all be good. Gave the engine a wee clean too....but I'm sure it will be covered with oil again by the time we get there!
