30K service

Hard to believe it's came round already, but I do have a stupid commute, and a penchant for a long detour.

So is the 30K one special? Plugs, belts, random other items?

EEEEP. Just changed the brake fluid quite recently so don't need that done, but the rest will need done.

Those defis don't look like the best purchase to have made on reflection!

Booked into Halleys next week for service and to get rattle and squeek (the names given to my rear shocks) replaced hopefully.

Should anyone wish to donate to the "Stephen needs a service fund" please see me at the Glasgow meet.

The 30k brake service does not include belts,  but includes oil/filter change, coolant change and brake fluid change.  It cost me £275 roughly from Ian Grieve, Falkirk.  Halleys should be similar.

50k is the belts and 60k is the biggest of the first lot.

Also, should have said, does not include gearbox oil, diff oil etc, just what I listed above (taken from receipt of last month and the service book).

BLOODY HELL - I charge about 190 for it and that uses FULLY SYNTHETIC OIL!

ps - you do get a service stamp as well, shame I am no use of the car is in warranty as using a non-Subaru dealer voids it[;)]

Resurrecting a bit of an old thread there Wuz.

Any VAT registered garage can carry out servicing as long as they use approved parts. I had hypertech do my previous servicing and had no problems when it went in to Halleys to get the recent service + shock replacement. Cost was just over £200 including I think fully synthetic. I didn't think they used semi, I better check my receipt.

Of course Halleys stamped the wrong bit in the book, AGAIN. How difficult can it be not to stamp the intermediate services and actually hit the one that has the correct mileage on it. FFS!
