Info required - Bugeye Ecosse STi limited edition

Right there's one of these for sale in Aberdeen, question is, where did this 'limited edition' originate from.

To my knowledge I'd never heard of this version until today.  Can anyone shed any light on it?  It's a 2002 SUBARU IMPREZA 2.0 WRX STi Ecosse 4 Door Saloon

Derek, the vehicle you are talking about was Town and County Aberdeen's demonstrator. It was an Sti in white that was Prodrived and had a few other extras added. It was then liveried up in "Ecosse" decals. If I remember rightly it had a blue saltire on the roof and ecosse decals on the foglight covers etc. It was not an official ltd edition as much.

Hope this helps.

Russ

Ps. if you want a white one I'm selling my 05my wrx [:o] see the for sale section

Is this the one with the Saltire on the roof?

Was it not a Scottish dealer 'special edition' from T&C or somewhere?

theres one of these runs around in peterhead didnt know it was a limited edition though pretty uncommon i assume??

Yip you guys are spot on, we went down to T&C at lunchtime, its a 'one-off' that they made.  There's not a flag on the roof but I dunno if it had one b4.

It's provisionally sold anyhow but thanks for the info.

Yeh I looked at that car when T&C were selling it originally and it did have a Saltire on the roof! Passionate about Subaru's and Scotland so I thought pefect, but the wife said no chance!! After I had calmed down I thought about the depreciation with the Saltire on the roof. I guess that may be the reason it was resprayed.

Pass one of these every day on the way to work and don't like them.

As said before it's about as limited as sticking your own stickers on, as once said in a Spike Lee movie "Don't Believe the Hype" [:o]

I can shed some light on the car in question, all you guys are right it was a one off from T&C,it was even used as a wedding car once when it was a demonstrator, the reason the saltire was removed was the guy who bought it (one of my neighbours dad) is English  so you know the rest,he has kept it in mint condition since he bought it and I guess is well into his 50's,he has just not long bought another T&C demo STi in silver with a good few extras on. good on him!!!!!!!!!!

cheers Rob...

I remember looking at this too, in perth t & c a few years back. Looked really nice apart from the tacky saltires on the fog covers, one on roof was cool though.

That is the exact same car as town and county took down to Knockhill and were doing Passenger laps with it

Driven by one of the female instructors down there

Anyone know what mods this bad boy has ?  Aside from PPP ?  It did not sound standard by any means and made that Evo kinda warping sounding as it horsed it up the straight.............It just seemed as if it had more than 300 bhp

Cal the standard Ecosse was just PPP, all the parts were Prodrive extras, ie springs, wheels, PPP etc.

The one at Knockhill may have had a few more mods to it.

They confirmed this morning that the Knockhill one had a Full decat and polished and ported headers,

Words from the horses mouth who did it[:)]
