Filled up with ROCKET FUEL today

Apparantly I just filled up with 100 ron optimax at the shell Garage near knockhill, was chating to the owner and she is sure that the latest delivery of fuel is the 100 ron stuff. she said she recieved a dvd and various other bits of litrature to do with the new fuel also this week.

Cars was pulling well but im no human data monitor lol

What price was the said fuel?

What ECU you running in your car Paddy?

Its was normal prices £1.02 per ltr

The scoob runs what it brung from Japan

Just what i thought, the Version 1 runs a pretty agressive map better suited to 100ron Japanese pump fuel

What about a wee bitty test!!!!

Reset your ECU and take her out for a run

If possible, plug in a diagnostic machine a look up the Knock Correction to see what correction the ECU pulls across the map.  ED-209, stays in Moodiesburn has the software if AWD does not have the OBD2 compatible software

If it is 100ron of the same blend as Jpn then it will pull very little correction across the map

Cheers for the pointer there Grant, yeh ive got access to the tools for the job, the car normally runs on optimax and booster and has pretty much no correction, so it will be interesting to see how it goes with the 100 ron

Would be a good test to try pure new Optimax from Shell without booster to see what a JDM STI ecu does Knock wise
