Ken 275 Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 Does anyone (and I'm sure someone does) have directions for where to find the premises? Finding Hillington is not hard but trying to locate the workshop could take a bit longer. TIA. Ken
wrxmania Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 Turn right at the roundabout at McDonalds and head into the estate - then a few turn down turn down a road to the right and look for a row of shutters with RED colouring. They are beside a golf place, a windscreen/glass place and a golf shop. Directions here: http://www.stainlessexhausts.com Give them a phone when you get near. Brian []
st3ph3n Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 I think it's a Burglar King if I'm not mistaken Brian. But other than that I do believe you're spot on.
the squiggle Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 Have you been on the drink Brian as they directions are shat to say the least Its a bloody Burger King not a McDonalds Of fthe M8 into Hillington First Roundabout turn right into the estate Next Roundabout turn right 100yds up the road turn left and then you will see the units on your right hand side. If he has followed your directions then he would have ended up in my house
mctwistuk Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 does anyone have any experience of exhausts from this place? am thinking of getting a back box from there.
wrxmania Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 Yes - they are poor directions - I was trying to be helpful in 2.1 seconds flat at lunchtime [] As to quality - yes - they are VERY good, as are Meercat in Kilbirnie. Brian []
~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 Hate to pee on the fire but they did not mandrill bend a custom mid-pipe they once made up for my old Civi Type R. Not a big issue but purists may disagree ( I did not bother too much though) I agree they do an immense job but they will never match the likes of H&S for quality. However, there service is top notch and they did spend a hell of a lotta time developing Alan G's exhaust...... So they still get my vote but be canny CGS
fai17 Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 Meercat don't mandrel bend pipe either as he told me the proper machine to do the job is mega expensive so he just buy in pre formed bends to do the great pipe work.
wrxmania Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 Same with C&C I assume as they are a small outfit. I'll ask them. Brian []
wrxnut Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 ive had work done from exhausts uk and it was a cracking job , they also have some direct fit exhausts for sale. i have on mine and it goes and sounds great! .
dougster Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 When are you going over Ken as I know exactly where it is.
AlanG Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 Probably depends on what components they have in stock at the time, but they do have a pipe bender on the premises... can't do 4" though... or at least couldn't do 4" when i was last there.
Ken 275 Posted June 19, 2006 Author Posted June 19, 2006 Events have changed since this chestnut was first aired but cheers for the offer D.
dougster Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 Ahhh, I see it was bumped up from April............................
