Yeah, that was another factor I forgot to mention earlier when making my choice of car. I think the slower depreciation should help to compensate for the possibly higher running costs?
RA Dunk Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 lol @ the BMW , dsigned by germans driven by to$$3rs [][][]
STi_Bandit Posted April 4, 2006 Author Posted April 4, 2006 I love the drag race you can really hear the flat four burble from that 22B or maybe my ears have become tuned to the Flat Four Burble ooo its Nice....[][] Martin
dave_morgan Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 The 22B IS the ultimate impreza, no doubt about it in my eyes. Interested to see where the passenger airbag is hiding on this example though!! Is it inside the dash cubby box ?!?!? Trivia for the day ... anyone know what the hexadecimal equivalant is for 555 ? []
twentytwobee Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 From a person that has a 22B and a BMW I feel that comment was a little harsh! Another way to look at it is that I drive the BMW more to save the 22B for nice days. I think that the 22B may have belonged to a chap from outside Edinburgh. As I contemplated buying it last year. It has a few 'issues' if it is the one I think it is but its nothing that would be a 'walk away' case.
STi_Bandit Posted April 4, 2006 Author Posted April 4, 2006 I didnt goto this garage expecting to see a 22B as iam not looking for one honest lol, was there with me dad looking at other cars and i saw it, for me it was a child hood dream to accully see one of these cars in the flesh so to spk so i did not go over it with a fine tooth comb maybe if i was buying it yes id find all the problems and as you say walk away but id like to leave it as a good memory of a beautiful iconic subaru [] Martin
Gumball Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 Wilky and I just went to see this 22B in autosolutions in Rutherglen and i have to say that although its my favourite all time scooby..............I NEARLY BOUGHT IT !!!!! This car is an awesome bit of kit and i really want to have one but as he said...its nice but not as powerful and would just end up modded and chasing power when its better suited to someone thats going to look after it and not mod it. £22,999 is worth a trade in, in my books. I hope someone from SIDC buys it cos this is a special car. jap rather than a UK and very special
iain_spink Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 Well they must have done some work on it since I looked at it (late November). Did you drive it Gumball?
STi_Bandit Posted April 5, 2006 Author Posted April 5, 2006 Yeah Gumball [] What time is your test drive [] Suits you sir Martin
