meko Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 Well guys it has been good while it lasted as i got pulled for speeding today (unmarked skoda) YES a feking skoda, so now got a next year bill for insurance quote of £1600 for a std wrx. So if you are on the M8 near helen st and you see a 03 silver skoda octavia watch out. Michael
dave_morgan Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 Seem to be quite a few tickets flying around recently - watch out guys !! Sorry to hear about this though mate - keep phoning round differnet insurers though - some companies don't seem to mind as much as others. [] Dave
chris_c201 Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 Yeh, seem to be out in force just now!! (as i found out) I've been extremely paranoid since getting the ticket..
st3ph3n Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 I'm paranoid I'll be getting more in after my trip down south never mind getting more in the future! Damn shame you're selling up Michael. Have you already got points?
imprezapete Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 Sorry to here that Im parnoid ALL the time anyway. I'm Always watching whats following me behind.
oobster Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 It's just yer donald if you get caught.... as kart_man says, phone around - you'll probably find it won't make much difference if it's just the 3 points you've got. Keith Michaels are pretty good - lots of SIDC members use them and they've had lots of good reports on here.
ANDYJDMSTI Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 Have you tried speaking to Gary Moulson at Keith Michaels Insurance. He has sorted lots of good quotes out, that is who i am changing to when the car is completed and old insurance ends in April. []
m493 Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 its just ashame the fuzz can only catch people driving over the speed limit to boost there daily figures and not catch proper criminals like them that robbed securitas(fair play) and that little bas*ard that got that girl in sainsbury's it seems to me they have their priorities all wrong sorry for the rant
vicki Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 Keep phoning around Michael. Fingers crossed you get a good quote. You love your car too much!
meko Posted March 9, 2006 Author Posted March 9, 2006 Well im looking like im going to take it on the chin and pay for the new insurance now looking about Got a bit of time to get it sorted Dose anyone know if you have to inform the insurance company that I have the policy with the now that i got the points Michael
BlackWagon Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Don't say a word mate. The only time ANY insurance co will want to see yer licence is if you stack yer motor into a bently and they have to stump up. SO DONT tell, and DONT crash. :-)
paul_young2 Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 can,t see 3 points making that much difference,[] So far i am lucky to have avoided points but the good lady has 7 points (company car driver with a MERC) get a detector !!! worth the extra money[6]
