4Hero Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 Choice of alloys will remain unknown untill i have them on the car. Do you mean you are buying alloys, but don't know what they are until someone fits them [8-)]
Rice Rocket Posted February 24, 2006 Author Posted February 24, 2006 Yes going for new alloys but not sure what size to get with what tyre? RR
P1 NUT Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 What age of car is it? If its a classic, then you would be looking at either 205/45/17 or 215/40/17. 18's would be 215/35/18 or 225/35/18 which I am running. If its the new shape then it would be 225/45/17 or 225/40/18
wrxmania Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 Its' a new age car. 18's I reckon Paul. Brian []
terminator Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 The bigger the better as the actress said to the bishop.[] 18" kei force 10s on my old wagon.
ANDYJDMSTI Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 Paul, unless you are going to slam it then i would say 18's with a 40 profile. 35's with todays road conditions is just taking too much of a risk i reckon. Also seeing you had 19's before i think you will not like the drop straight to 17's. NO BLING!!........................is this the same Ricey we are thinking about here??? [][]
P1 NUT Posted February 26, 2006 Posted February 26, 2006 Go for the 18's then clad them with toyo R888 or Dunlop trackdays tyres, or something equally as sticky and enjoy
dave_morgan Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Has to be at least 18's Paul. 17's sometimes look to small on a classic, let alone a bug. Dave
gus the bus Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Go for 18's with 225/40/18's. just changing to this size from the standard wrx17's myself. Gus[]
