st3ph3n Posted February 10, 2006 Author Posted February 10, 2006 I'm thinking of openning a book on how long before you enter the wacky world of forced induction Sharon.
andy Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 Quote it's a parts/service advisor, for SUBARU!!!!!!!!!!! lol[] My first experience with Grieve's in Camelon wasn't totally positive, but they did come back and try to rectify that. The business is there for the taking - just look at the Halley's topic (or not - as it's been pulled for some reason - even though it had justifiably reason for complaint). Employing an SIDC member on the parts/service front is a good start - it just needs to be built on and build a reputation. I wasn't going to go back after my 30k experience, but having an enthusiastic SIDC member in a position like that should, hopefully(!) lead to better service (and ensure correct discounts first time round!) so, on the basis everybdy is entitled to one mistake, I'll come back for the 40k (which is looming way faster than anticipated) I take my coffee white with one []

st3ph3n Posted February 10, 2006 Author Posted February 10, 2006 Quote Quote I'm thinking of openning a book on how long before you enter the wacky world of forced induction Sharon. ermmmmmmmmm WOT???? A TURBO! How the devil did you get a job in a Subaru garage? Forced induction is a term used to describe internal combustion engines that are not naturally aspirated. Instead, a gas compressor is added to the air intake, thereby increasing the quantity of air or fuel-air mixture available for combustion. Forced induction can be used to increase the power of an engine, its efficiency, or both, without much extra weight. Pressurizing the intake of combustion ingredients increases the effective capacity of the engine without an increase in physical size. The forced induction approach has the advantage that the intake pressure may be regulated according to the engine speed, thus providing power from extra capacity at high speed, but without wasting fuel at lower speeds. The two different forced induction technologies in common use are superchargers and turbochargers. They differ mainly in the power source for the compressor.
sharon_mccall Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 forced induction now if u had just said turbo in the first place st3ph3n. LOL
