andrew_wrona Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 Ive just been to Hypertech in Bonnybridge to enquire about getting my gauges fitted to my car, i also noticed that they were doing freee fitting on drop links so i thought id have them as well. [] The question is do droplinks make a difference to the car?
sharon_mccall Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 i don't have them but yes they make a difference. Handling will be much better! [H] but i am sure someone will give you a better response than this
st3ph3n Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 Alf, I have them on my car - 2005 WRX. Got them and the geometery done at the same time and they are probably the best value mod you can possibly buy.
scoobymadburd Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 hi We have the drop links on our 1997 wagon and they are excellent you notice the difference straight away. Totally agree with you stephen!!! Claire
bigbadboab Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 How much do they cost?[au] Sorry for repeating[:$]
weeb Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 £70 big ones!!! i got them fitted last week. stiffens the rear up and allows you to take the corners that big bit faster!
gus the bus Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 So is that £140 the lot or is it £70 a corner/[8-)] ie £280 the lot. If it makes a big difference I'll get it done! Gus
st3ph3n Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 They come in pairs Gus. So about £140 for the lot.

des_curran Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 I had the whiteline front and rear links and rollbars fitted on my wagon and it made a big difference over standard its a great mod[] I'm having the alloy links and alignment with prodrive settings done this thursday at Hypertech to my new car, i will probably get the anti lift kit fitted too before the alignments done.
sma01 Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 Des, why not go the full way and get the front and rear ARBs and the anti lift kit as well, makes a big difference scott
ian_finlayson Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 I got the steel ones for £70 for front and rear from AWD. The alloy ones are not worth the extra cash.
WRC No 1 Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 i think i paid about £70 for the front and back whiteline ones and i fitted them my self defo big difference [Y] wullie
Gumball Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 they do make a difference. the car shifts about the back roads lieka scalextrix with them and the springs or coilovers fitted. powerflex all day long for me though
andrew_wrona Posted February 6, 2006 Author Posted February 6, 2006 Defo sounds like a good mod then. [H]
gus the bus Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Boab, give Duncan @ Hypertech a call and see! tell him I may want the drop links too![] 01324 812 212 Gus
craig mac Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Gus When i got my Teins fitted and drove down to Falkland performance to get the geometry done there reply to fitting drop links was this.... " Waste of money, if your car was 3 or 4 years old with 30 or 40k on the clock then yes, but at the moment would make no differance at all, If it was going to be benificial then we would have recommended and done it". It is not like a garage to put you off something you ask to get done is it? That was there view anyway m8 Craig
gus the bus Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 [] not like them one bit! Well I might just wait for 3.5years then and spent my cash on...................something else![] Cheers Gus
