any game fishers scotland

Used to do lots of game fishing, especially wild brown trout fishing in the hill lochs. Bought some new salmon fly gear last year so intending to give it a serious crack this year. Also used to be a total pike fishing fanatic and still really enjoy a day at that occasionally. where did /do you pike fish?

I'm heavily committed to broonies in the high lochs (I can see your house from my club water Dougster) and tie my own flies for salmon fishing too.

I've not been out this year so far due to the late arrival of Winter as there is little point.

Mind you, at least there are no midgies to contend with.

I've been a member there for about 15 years and was actually invited to join the committee but I suppose that's because I'm a masochist and nobody likes me.

The other lochs in the area can be quite good at times too in the OK hills if you persevere. 6 pounders, 3 pounders etc. but not to my rod. I had  2 @ 2.5lbs from the Burncrooks in one night last season but they were probably stockies. All the more reason for a tap on the head.

I must have met you at some point up there at Loch Humphrey. I usually walk up as I wouldn't risk the tyres on the Terzo on that bloody road! Which car do you take?

"but I suppose that's because I'm a masochist and nobody likes me." Fancy a moderators job?? [:D][:(][;)]

I only joined last year and a wee operation kept me out of action near the end of summer.

I have walked up, taken my MTB up, a Ford Ranger, Honda CR-V, Discovery and a Ford Connet which made it no problems. I'm hope to camp out a couple of times this year to get a nice early start.

I need to get my money along to Janice and she mentioned that the road was in poor nick??

Have you used the boat as I need to get new waders as well?

I have been round the 3 Greenlands on my bike but not fished them and  who owns Burncrooks as I have only walked it after a night on Duncolm!!
