bigbadboab Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 Looking at this on ebay, even though I would not bid for this as it looks 95% a scam is the description correct? WRX 300 Cheers
wrxmania Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 The description looks 100% correct as far as I can see. It is not to be confused with a UK 300. This is a WRX300 - different car. Brian
wrxmania Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 It will reach way more than its' current reserve, but will probably be wirthdrawn if it does not reach what he wants. Could always drop him an email. Brian
bigbadboab Posted January 21, 2006 Author Posted January 21, 2006 Thats were i was going wrong then. New to this scoobie thing ya see. Is it an import then?
wrxmania Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 Nope - UK special edition mid to end 2005, clearing PPP's (now discounted at many dealers) and also the last of that model. Very good car, well worth the money, easy to insure (as many of the extras are part of the car standard spec). Only UK cars are fitted with PPP generally. Brian
bigbadboab Posted January 21, 2006 Author Posted January 21, 2006 Here are the ones I'm looking at Scoobie Pro drive and Scoobie WRX but cheap Any thoughts guys
bigbadboab Posted January 21, 2006 Author Posted January 21, 2006 Two I am looking at 04 Plate and 03 Plate
bigbadboab Posted January 21, 2006 Author Posted January 21, 2006 Spooky, that first page crashed on me so I redone it..............
st3ph3n Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 boab, the first auction, the guy's just playing an ebay card to get people looking at his auction. Just ignore the £5500, he's only using that as a tempter for people browsing ebay. The one thing about car auctions on ebay is that people seem to think it's just cheap advertising rather than a binding auction service. So be wary.
oobster Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 I'd also be VERY wary that this is his/hers 1st auction, and the advertiser has been quite specific about how to contat him/her (email address) - you should be able to use the 'Ask Seller a Question' link. I'd suggest it isn't a genuine auction, could be wrong though
wrxmania Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 Yep - agree with all of the above. There are genuine first time sellers but you would need to do a lot of checking etc when buying any car from eBay. I bought a car via eBay, it is VERY good, was exactly as I expected (after I travelled to Norfolk to get it) but I did a lot of individual work with the vendor etc before picking it up. Glad I did travel though - it was well worth it. And, by the time I got back after the 400 mile trip I knew it was running great. But, as the phrase goes, "BUYER BEWARE" Brian
IanJ Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 PMSL have you seen how much it's selling for now?
wrxmania Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 lol - pity if its' genuine, but if not - tough luck!
st3ph3n Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 The seller is an eejit basically. Because someone will buy it at a stupid price then say he's only paying 5.5K.
neilswrx Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 no way £125,100 only another £700,000 and you could get a bugatti veron
