oz *sti* Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 could be interested, silly question coming up where abouts is east fortune?
st3ph3n Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 East of West Fortune. I joke. It's in east lothian, where Concorde is parked. What's the date shocker?
IanJ Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Javelin link Looks like it's in March and it's filling up pretty quickly. East Fortune is a twisty little track near Haddington (Excelent fun and reasonably technical). It's normally used by the bike racers. I don't know who owns it now, but it used to be owned by a couple of farmers (half the track in each ones land). If you are going check the rules re tyres and it'll probably be a strict no drifiting day (I heard folks with tyre squeal were getting flagged at the last event). Also check if it's the full circuit that's opening as the farmer that owned the bottom section, didn't used to rent out his half to car drivers. So sometimes you only got half the circuit. Ian

graham_nairn Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 Is anyone else still going to this. Is there places still available??
johns Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 << Considering most track days at KH are £45-55 for half day this is a bargain for all SIDC who fancy trying a new track! >> I wish we could offer half days at Knockhill for that price. Last year was about £65 for members, and about £75 for non-members unless it was "off-peak" season where we got the hire at short notice with some discount. I've got some prices from Knockhill for this year, and it looks like another increase will be required, just so we can cover our costs. A full day for £85 is a bargain, so snap up the places whilst available. John
