colinj Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 Yea prices are all over the place, guess you nave to evaluate the value the best you can taking everything into consideration!! Ive heard of cars newer than mine selling for much less!!! You can get a scooby for under £2k these days, I wouldnt touch them unless you know the cars inside out though!!!
oobster Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 Hi Chloe Me & the Mrs are in the next town along from Bathgate. Don't want to post up where exactly, as you never know who could be reading this! The car in Kaim Park is indeed a P1 - here is a link to the garage and here is a link to the car. They are wanting £13,995 for it. And insurance on a P1 for a 19-year old would probably be the same again!! Maybe catch you at a meet sometime. Andy

vicki Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 Hiya Chloe and Welcome I started out wanting to spend £6000 on a scooby but ended up spending nearly £9000 so I could buy one from a dealership with service history, one owner and low milage etc. I only use mine to and from work and wee runs and I seem to be putting petrol in quite a lot. Your insurance will probably be expensive too. Can you not get someone to insure it with you as a named driver? Enough boring stuff ...... get a turbo, they are amazing ...... you won't want to go clubbing again, you will just want to drive your car I love it, all the boys in my street think I am the bees knees ranging from 14 to 40 lol The young ones say "your car is a belter Mrs" hhmmmm enough of the Mrs. Anyway enough of my stories, good luck with you search and enjoy the banter. Some on here are hysterical - you know who you are . Vicki x

My first scoob was a 98 sport and a lot of fun and might treat you a bit bitter in the insurance department (just ask Sharon!!!). Come along to the Lothians meet next Tuesday (Wednesday noo as spooks has changed it!) were a friendly bunch PS I'm through in Bathgate a lot as my parents stay above the town. Look oot fur a blue scoob with P*GUS no plate or a white saxo when ma heid is wasted. Gus
