Bing Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 Text Text Not sure how to post these but hey! Anyway, big thanks to BHP development and Andy F for a job well done! Praise to a few guys who have helped me along the way for various reasons, the G for his hardware, Cal for starting this whole thing off, Marc for his garage and spare mods, (Grant for being patient whilst I was constantly asking questions about pointless things) etc etc Im aware of the controversy on rolling roads but after some calculations, advice and Microsoft excel ill settle on: 322.13 BHP at 6500RPM and 302.93 lbs/ft at 3500RPM Happy days, time to sort out the brakes though!
~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 I'm disgusted with your power gains........now you can whip the STI PPP'd boys all day long !! Nice broad torque curve I think I may have to follow your road to 300 bhp plus BHP & Andy F are trul a cheap route to getting your whip ship shape Look out for Bing on your tail at KH trackdays in 2006 ! Cheers Cal
the squiggle Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 Never pointless when you take the advice on board produce some nice figures like that Grant Is it me or RS Grant?
Gumball Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 i knew it would pay off and is a big leap of faith to pop that turbo in and go with what you ve got. worked really really well and im glad your happy with the results. that with the shorter box is indeed...... AN STI PPP KILLER
Bing Posted December 13, 2005 Author Posted December 13, 2005 Aye its you Grant, Been 'locking in' some advice (not just for scoobys though) so Ta! Cal, shes a wee train, the 5 speed box works a treat as the revs whip right round to 6.75 / 7k without losing power!
the squiggle Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 Just checking as it could have been a tad embarrassing there. Whats the difference beteen Bing Crosby and Walt Disney?.................. Walt sings and Bing Disnae.....................................ROFLMAO Grant
the squiggle Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 or is it Bing sings and Walt disnae Och i dont know now Anyhow well done. Whats the spec of your car to give others a reference as that is a healthy figure you have got power and torque wise Grant
st3ph3n Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 Damn straight it's impressive. I'm going to have to aim pretty high next year. We've got some tasty cars north of the border indeed.
Bing Posted December 13, 2005 Author Posted December 13, 2005 I canny do either! Full H&S decat (2.5inch) Prodrive BB (works MUCH better than some would think) NGKPRF7's Resonator delete Samco intercooler hose Walbro 255 fuel pump VF35 turbo Ecutek remap I think thats about all, sounds easy!
p1ggm Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 very good figures, i just mailed andy tonight to see about getting mine re done, hoping with the mods lined up for 450 bhp ish
Bing Posted December 13, 2005 Author Posted December 13, 2005 Stevie, More modded cars up here than you could shake a stick at!
st3ph3n Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 I'm aiming for full decat (probably H+S), appropriate samcos and then the Andy F treatment. Should get me near the 300 mark I hope.
Iaing Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 Good show bing, I'd like to follow a similar route as you next year. Iain

Gumball Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 with standard internals? i was watching CNN news last night......apparently theres a WR Blue STI8 in South glasgow that will soon be measuring 2.3 on the richter scale and coming our way.
RS Grant Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 << Is it me or RS Grant? >> You could ask me about how something looks or sounds... but I'm afraid when it comes to technical stuff, I am a long way behind the guy with the bushy tail that passes 101ron everytime he goes to the toilet. Great result considering the mods!! Cheers, Grant
