I remember i used that on a set of wheels i had on my old Citroen AX a few years back, and that was nasty stuff!!

It has chemical in it that will cause serious weaking of the alloy, the wheels are made offIt attacks the chemical make up of one of the alumini base products used in wheel manufacture.

Basically it has to do with the over all general bond of the material

Not to be used on Alloy wheels
