AN ANNOUNCEMENT:GLASGOW R.O

Ladies and Gents,

I have at last reached my decision regarding Glasgow R.O.

After much thought i have decided to stay on as Glasgow R.O.

I have received many messages of support and seen a great effort go into

this years Santa Cruise.

I will be attending the Glasgow meet on the 15th December starting at 8pm.

This is at the request of the management of the Brewers Fayre as they start to

quieten down at this time of night and we can hopefully get two big tables put together

for us to sit at.

This will be a relaxed and uninformal meeting and we will conviene in January to plan events for 2006

as a group.

The committee have been advised and given me their backing.

I'm glad you are staying at the helm , you do a good job .

Maybe (as mentioned at a recent meet ) having people taking on positions Eg; P.R. , fundraising/charity , runs , shows/events would share the load and take some pressure off what is a hard job.

I think some folk forget sometimes that we all have full time jobs to do , and this is our hobby/pastime which we voluntarly try to squeeze into our precious free-time .

Anyway , heres to a successful 2006

this year has been a turbulent year for Scottish Scoobies and also the Glasgow region so glad to hear you are sticking with it Billy.

perhaps for 2006 we should agree to disagree and try to get along instead of expanding too fast and getting into bother
