Couple of questions... servicing in E'burgh, Legacy?

Hey folks, my first post here...

I have just aquired a Subaru Legacy estate 2.0... loving it so far. I have a couple of questions for you all:

* Can I join SIDC or is it for Imprezas only?

* What is the best garage within a reasonable distance of Edinburgh for servicing? I need a full service, cambelt and everything, maybe rear suspension bushes. Got a quote from Nobles for £550...

Cheers!

hi mate,

if you are going to stick to subaru affilliated garages like nobles then i dont think so.

but if you are willing to head out to whitburn there are a good bunch of lads out there at extreme motorsport, and if you willing to head up to perth then the chaps at AWD are sound too.

ive read a bit on here about a place called hypertech ? i. do a search and you should find some info on them, i seem to remember bonnybridge near falkirk??

but as far i know i think your limited in edinburgh.

hope you find summin

Hypertech are indeed in Bonnybridge near Falkirk and have a website or 01324 812212 (Duncan and Alex) and will do work on ALL Jap cars.

Thanks for the replies everyone!

I have heard of Hypertech in Falkirk, reccomendations (maybe I red it here in this forum!). Maybe just a little too far to go for a bog standard service? Same with AWD in perth, good reports, but a little to far for a straigh service for me.

I have heard things about a guy out in East Linton... again, a bit out the way, but not as far as Perth or Falkirk.

I would really prefer to try to find someone local... doesn't have to be a dealership, just a good solid honest mechanic that can do the business.

I have turned on my PM's so you can message me! Cheers!
